What they need which will fix things somewhat is a 2nd line centre. Let Zibby stay on the 3rd for now.

I keep saying this -- they are $5M from the floor and Lehner will get them there. Other than what Garrioch said -- and that was 4 hours ago -- I have zero expectations for any more moves.

That top line did pretty well last season but that's when they still had Spezza -- first half of the season or so they were the 2nd line; even when they were the top line the other teams still didn't put all their eggs in one basket, Spezza still mattered. Will that second line demand as much attention as Hemsky-Spezza-Michalek? Not a chance. Ryan has to stay healthy and TurMac have to continue to overachieve. Then on the second line Michalek has to continue staying healthy, Zibanejad needs to mature into a top-6 player and Chiasson, well, I have no idea what to expect, really. Oh, and let's not forget they need to build instant chemistry.

If there are no additional moves then it might be a really long season. Again.

I don't know where you are getting your numbers, but the Sens are about 750K from the floor without Lehner signed.

True, although I'd love to see what Zibanejad/Lazar can do as the 2/3 punch. We're not contending for the Cup until 202 (when Melnyk gets paid -- damn, why can't I find that) so maybe start developing the kids sooner, rather than later?

Tell me again how Spezza mattered in 12-13?

Our record has been better the last 2 years without ezza. That's how he mattered.

McArthur - Turris - Stone (was good last year)
Michalek - Zibanejad - Ryan
Lazar - Pageau - Chiasson
Greening - Smith - Neil
Stewart (maybe)

I already like this lineup as of now. I believe in the 4 kids.

That lineup is challenging for a wildcard spot at best.
