I'm glad they kept 9MM. I think the term is too long if his knee problems resurface, but if they don't it's a good deal.

Yes, every player who hasn't won anything is a loser... I said Spezza is a loser and hell it was even proven in this trade.

If 9mm can continue like he did last season and stay healthy, then it's good. But I'll be honest, I'm gonna worry about his knee the whole time.

Lots of good options out there for signing still...

Vrbata, Ott, Penner, Grabovski, Downie. Lots of potential good fits for OTT still.

And yeah, for sure, I think OTT will be busy on the trade market in the coming hours, days, and weeks.

I kind of forgot about that situation. I'll be surprised if he's still a Jet by next week.

Definitely a concern, although he played 82 games last season, plus the Olympics. And he got better as the season went along. 25 goal pace after the Olympics. I'm actually less worried about his knees then I am about the fact that he's not going to have Spezza feeding him those 25 goals. Still think he'll put up 20+ and make Zibanejad a better player in the process, but I guess we'll see.

They don't have to worry about Spezza past 2014-15.

Sens have a ton of space to sign a player or two at a somewhat inflated contract right now (ie a UFA signing).
