Nightmare?  Why?  Kadri is about as good a player as you're going to get in any trade for Spezza.  He's somewhat proven and still has potential.  Yah, we hate him because he's a Leaf and there is some ill will there but value for value?  Everyday.

Value my Donkey. Kid is lazy - as proven over and over again, he's a terrible diver. Screw that, this is a team that needs to be built on character - we don't need guys like Nazem Kadri thank you very much.

Turris was lazy in the defense first, coaches way or the highway system too.  Remember that?  I can bump it all over again.

Sens do need a LH center capable of playing the PP and scoring some goals, Kadri is a LH center who is good on the PP and can score some goals.  Would take him in Ottawa in a minute.

I'd be down, would rather have him than Berglund.

Take Kadri over Berglund easily.  Not to mention he is signed for a decent deal right now and you could lock him up long term to a Turris like deal if he works out.

I'll be honest, I don't think the Kadri to St.Louis deal has anything to do with Spezza and Spezza ends up in Anaheim.

There's no use arguing about it really, I doubt it happens, but you can't say that you want to build this team the right way then bring in a guy like Kadri. That's my opinion. I'd rather forfeit some of the skill he has for character and desire.

Take Kadri in a second to play behind Turris.  Exactly the type of player the Sens need despite some warts.

Huge warts. Like...basically taking back a younger version of Spezza. You really want to go through all of this again? I don't see why you would, I really don't.

I'd take Kadri over Berglund any day of the week.

Much higher offensive ceiling.

Very worried about Berglund to be honest. What's the allure of him? Everythin I've read says he's fairly slow and doesn't use his size?

Everything I've read says he's a monster along the boards - which is what you want if you want to be a puck possession team. Loves to stand in front of the net - especially on PPs, likes to shoot, but misses a fair bit. Good instincts, can play a sound PK.

Good skater when he's going, but his acceleration is a bit slow. Won't go for the huge hits, but definitely won't ever shy away from contact. Played the playoffs despite having a dislocated shoulder because he has the desire to play and win important games.

That is 100% debatable. Plays harder than Spezza when it suits him is more like it.

I'm 100% surprised to hear that you'd be fine and dandy with a little rat like Kadri coming to a young, impressionable team. Granted, he would never be the captain (lol), but why would you even want to begin to go down the road of having a player like that as part of the new core. It makes no sense, it's something a less learned fan would say/want.

I am not sure how Kadri could end up here, but I wouldn't be opposed to taking him on.  He's young, and I think that with the right mentoring (guys like Philly, Neil, Turris, Ryan, and MacA) he could mature properly.  Look at the Diddle heads that provide leadership in Toronto...big difference...plus their coach doesn't like him.

Kadri isn't afraid of throwing the body, gets to the net, plays as physical as he can... Spezza does none of that.

Also, where did this idea that Kadri is lazy come from?  Same group of people that said Turris is lazy or?  I know what I like in a hockey player, Kadri has a lot of the things I look for.  I think the diving is disgusting but 1/2 the NHL does it so w/e.

There was a lot of negative things said about Turris before he got here.  Similar situation in Toronto with Kadri...the coach hates him (probably race related).  Ahhhhh!

It wasn't a secret. When Eakins was coaching the Marlies he finally had enough of asking/telling Kadri to work hard off ice and on ice that he contacted his father and got him to try to get some sense into him.

The hockey players this franchise is looking for are the guys who never, ever need to be told that, let alone have it begged to them time and time again.

Why do you think he's on the block in the first place? For fun? Toronto needs Cs in a huge way, yet they're willing to trade Kadri? Hmmm, I wonder why that is. Could it be because a leopard never changes his spots? Kadri's still a useless, lazy little bastard? I think that has a lot to do with it.

And who said Turris was lazy? That was part of the smear campain that happened with him wanting out of Phoenix. Recently Tippett said he was instructed not to play the young players too much so Phoenix could negoatiate lower deals with them. Said he never had one issues with Turris and the rumours of a rift were pure fabrication.

Well, the Kadri rumours are not a fabrication. He was a lazy little punk - and the fact that Toronto is going to trade his this off-season means very little has changed.

Yeah, right. Race related....

I think if the player plays hard, the Toronto coaches couldn't care less what race they are.
