I still don't think Colorado let's O'Reilly walk though.

The way they're treating him, he'll walk as a 25 year old UFA in 2 years anyway.

Yeah, no kidding.

TheScore has an article up suggesting St. Louis is Spezza's preferred destination.

Seems to be making the news today...

Strickland: Told Jason spezza's number one choice for a trade is to the #stlblues. Word is he believes he's headed to either STL or Anaheim #Ducks #Sens

Just reading the comments, looks like Blues fans don't wanna give Rattie.

Yeah, no kidding.

I am not sure what the rules are re: team filed arbitration. Not sure if COL can trade him after arbitration. After multiple contract issues with COL, if I were him I'd be walking when I become a UFA. So, the question is does Colorado want to get value for him now -or- do you re-sign him to a contract through arbitration at a dollar value at or above what he made last season ($6.5M salary) and deal with it later?

Spezza would be a nice fit in Colorado. He fits their cap structure, he'd be a true 2LC behind Duchene and will significantly lessen the blow if/when Stastny walks this summer. I'd imagine it would take Spezza + to get ROR out of Colorado.

My point is he might be a good return. I'd take the Berglund/Rattie/1st and take a gamble on Ho-Sang with that first.

That's true, if they go to arbitration they can't trade him for 1 year, so they'd have to move him next year - and he'd know it. Not a great scenario at all.

Oh, I see. Yeah, he's a nice return just from seeing his stats and reading his scouting reports. 30 goals as a rookie in the AHL = a very good prospect IMO. Plud a left winger with some pop and a smaller guy who's not afraid to get to dirty areas apparently.

I know nothing about Ho-Sang though - like...nothing, so I can't even begin to comment.

Oh oh....

Sportnet says the Leafs are offering Kadri for Berglund - and it makes me very scared that it could change the parameters of a deal with St.Louis to Kadri, 1st and Rattie.

I hate Kadri so much...

EDIT: It's Kypreos lol, nevermind.

I don't know anything either and he's apparently an bunghole from reports lol. But who cares it's a weak draft.

The Blues don't give a Diddle about Nazem Kadri.

Wouldn't that be something if Ottawa then flipped Spezza to St.Louis for Kadri?

That's what I meant - that's my nightmare scenario if it changes to Kadri, 1st + Rattie.

Nightmare?  Why?  Kadri is about as good a player as you're going to get in any trade for Spezza.  He's somewhat proven and still has potential.  Yah, we hate him because he's a Leaf and there is some ill will there but value for value?  Everyday.

Value my Donkey. Kid is lazy - as proven over and over again, he's a terrible diver. Screw that, this is a team that needs to be built on character - we don't need guys like Nazem Kadri thank you very much.

Turris was lazy in the defense first, coaches way or the highway system too.  Remember that?  I can bump it all over again.

Sens do need a LH center capable of playing the PP and scoring some goals, Kadri is a LH center who is good on the PP and can score some goals.  Would take him in Ottawa in a minute.
