He can do whatever he wants to this off-season, but I guarantee he has 20 games next year to produce results. If by mid-December he's still coaching with Dung in his brains, he's done IMO.

I agree with this as well, that's not to say MacLean and Spezza could co-exist anyways.  Either way I think you see a better team next year with or without Spezza.

Well we have a better idea of what went wrong behind the bench so this season is forgotten as far as I'm concerned. I still think it's bush league that he STILL hasn't had the chance to hire his own assistants.

Having said that, I would have forced that fool to shave.

I'm pretty sure it's 10 teams he WON'T be traded to.

Out of Canada, a city that is alive, or warm weather.  If you can knock two of those 3 you are set.

I get the feeling that Spezza or certain other players may have gone to BM with complaints about PMac.

I don't think BM gave MacLean too much crap for being confrontational, he may have said OK that approach doesn't work but I don't see much reason for blaming a coach for demanding more from his players, especially when expectations are high.
And if MacLean leaned on Spezza because his style of play clashes with team identity/philosophy can you really blame him? I'd think MacLean and BM had a long talk where it was basically "well what do you want me to do with him?"

Again, seemingly lost in all this was that Spezza lost a full year and had to battle to get into game shape - which we all saw. I'd have asked for a trade if I was him as well. There comes a time when people just Dung on you for anything, it must be annoying.
