That's pure BS. Smith took a penalty that basically Cussed our season, but he trotted him out to finish the game and he played him next game. Nice message to send.

I've been saying it for a while now but the Isles makes the most sense to me. $4M salary but $7M cap hit.

This is probably a huge pipe dream considering the contract uncertainty of Spezza (although signing an extension and moving to Brooklyn wouldn't be that surprising)

Makes sense for Ottawa for the same reason.

Makes no sense for him to waive his NTC to go there though.

He didn't play C on his subsequent shifts.

He was out there taking draws in the left circle early. Either way the accountability factor had to be transparent in terms of guys playing the right way and not saying "bad boy" and benching a guy. What MacLean said today was pretty damning for Spezza IMO and that's the leader.

These are the long days before the draft and July 1. Who knows what we'll get back for Spezza...? It better be a hell of a haul though.

And toss Cowen in as well please.

He never did take a draw. I assume he was out there to be the 2nd C in case the other C got tossed, but he didn't.

What Smith did was a huge mistake and he should have been made an example of - end of story.

At least when Gryba did it, it was slightly less challenged.

Actually the goals are my only beef with AJ. He's pretty good otherwise.

I would love it if you could jump on as an advisory to garth snow. that would make it another highway robbery for us on the isles.... dude, no way that happens. also, really doubt jason waves for NYI.
