Cowen doesn't have the hockey sense and that's my biggest issue for sure. He dominated in Jrs because he was just bigger and faster then everyone. In the NHL not so much and you need to have a brain. Cowen hasn't clued in yet for sure.

Also, Ehrhoff and Edler are very similar players at very similar levels at very similar salaries. Both would be great partners for Karlsson and can play top line PP mins as a LH shot.

I'm just kidding he's not ALL bad but The Hockey Simmer would probably Dung all over him like he does to Bobby Ryan and just about everybody in the NHL/

Hehe. What a clown. He's on the show giving his "analysis" of what Ottawa should do at the deadline. That's rich with the track record he has in that department.

I think everyone thought he had huge upside (maybe he still does) but you can't look at his game and not say "holy s*it, that's concerning". It's not a learning curve thing either right now, it's a very simple reads and playing hard that's the issue.

Also I would not be shocked to see Ehrhoff land in Ottawa and IMO Wiercioch is the guy that would be going the other way as the center piece from Ottawa's perspective. If that does happen I'm going to be pissed but I get it.

I think you have to lump Cowen in with players like Tyler Myers, Thomas Hickey, etc. They dominated junior because of their size. No hockey IQ. Package him up!

I think Myers is a good example though...

Cowen is not Hedman though and again, I am not saying Cowen is a lost cause but there are serious red flags which you as of yet have not even really talked about.
