I've never waivered once. We should be keeping Phillips and now we should go after edler as aggressively as possible.

That game last night was embarrassing for many reasons, but the leash has to be getting shorter for Cowen. Get edler back though - or eberle, but the times coming.

Claesson is coming, we have Methot, we have Gryba, soon we'll have Phillips locked up. We have Wiercioch if we need another lefty at any point. Cowen is the trade piece, so do it.

Hoffman looked good, stone looked good, da costa looked great. Focus on getting a dman first - and I mean a bloody top pairing guy.

Make a hockey trade for a Dman, THEN make a trade for a winger if need be.

Maybe, maybe not. Could be a case of him needing a new home, could be a case of him being suspended, could be a case of low confidence. I know for sure he hasn't lost a step because I watch the Canucks enough and watched him at the Olympics. Physically he looks fine... mentally maybe not but he could work in Ottawa.

Per ESPN, the Sens inquired about Chris Stewart but the asking price is high.

well he's lost a bit defensively and is a bit soft, and wasn't all that great before the suspension, but yes it could be just a change is needed. Vancouver is pretty toxic right now (whythe Diddle are you starting Lack back to back Torts, I have him in both my leagues?!)

Where did you hear that? If that's the case then it sounds like he wants to stay.

Again Sens are in no position to be spending a ton on these players at this point. They need to fix what's wrong in house first and then maybe move forward with some other moves.

Sounds like they're working on an extension, but I bet the Sens are offering him 2.25 tops. Cussing cheap bastards lol

I'm all for resigning Phillips but he's not worth a ton more than 2.5 a season and fact of the matter is they have to be careful because he could very well be pushed out of a roster spot in the next year or two. Phillips IMO fills a need in Ottawa but he's playing as a 5, 6 D man. If he wants to year's it's probably around 2.5 a season... if he wants 3 it's even less.
