Let's hope there was another meeting between those guys.

Paul MacLean confirms Craig Anderson in nets and Marc Methot back in. Kassian will also play in favour of Conacher. Wiercioch out.

Boom.

Boom.

That was all the obvious choices for sure. Kassian might as well prepare to be in most nights, Conacher is a waste of time and space right now.

As far as spezza and the leadership core goes, no changes will be made till the off-season.  Just can't see them doing that at this point.  I'm glad it wasn't the same ol' dribble last night in the post-game comments.

EDIT: oh and give me kassian in the lineup.  7-2-5 record with him.  I don't care just do it.

And yeah, put in Kassian, sit out Conacher.  Useless.

As mentioned in the Devils Fiasco thread:

Pretty disappointing. Bobby Ryan is at practice, though.

I'm gonna bust up the room if

a) we lose tonight

b) Murray doesn't have the nuts to trade Spezza before his 'worth' deteriorates any more.

Murray had the nuts to trade the sacred-cow Mike "Fishlander" Fisher. Spezza would be easy for him.

No, I don't think it'll be easy for Murray and I'm scared he'll meander around it so much that he misses and opportunity. This isn't Mike Fisher - this is a guy who's been a leading scorer for the franchise for a long, long time. It's a tough one (for management).

no... murray's been around long enough. this isn't like the other summer when Spezza wanted out. then he was trying to maximize value, he clearly knows this isn't the same player anymore. the media won't be happy with the deal i'm sure but he'll make one as he, as us, clearly knows spezza isn't gonna be here long term.

Ottawa fans don't care about points, old friend. They are still stuck in the expansion days when your so-called stars "put in a good effort" and "brung their hard-hat and lunchpail to the rink." For this reason, Spezza has been a pariah in this city. Management isn't blind and they know there would be no blowback from dealing Spezza.

I think the media will fully understand. Hopefully it's not like the challenged on HF - which I actually posted on on the subject - which made me dumber BTW.

Haha what a cop out... forgot that Alfie was here for 17 years, forget Karlsson is loved in this city and might be the best D man in the game, Ryan, Turris, MacArthur all guys who put up points and are well liked.

Might want to stop with the BS because it's old.  Spezza isn't a player that should ever be a captain, should ever be the center piece of a team, should ever be a #1 center... he's not capable of adjusting his game or the responsibility that comes with it.

Fans like a winner, simple as that.  Am I to assume you believe that's what Spezza is?  Please tell me what is oh so great about Jason Spezza today because I am dying to know.

I'm just laying out the facts as usual. Spezza is an easier trade to make than Fisher. Pretty cut and dried my good man.
