I dunno, I live in Stittsville and am with Rogers. I believe the game was on two Sportsnet channels at the same time (Sportsnet Ontario and Sportsnet East I think??). I can't recall which feed I was PVRing (pretty sure it was Ontario, channel 502). I assume most people watching live just flipped their channel to the other Sportsnet channel, but I didn't have that luxury since I was on delay watching it on my PVR.

It's tough to decipher from the video on TSN whether cowen actually made contact with girgenson's head or not. I think he caught a piece of it but girgensons moved his head as well. Shanahan will likely argue that Cowen hit him blindside and targeted the head.
Also remember Datsyuk was hit with a cowen elbow and missed several games...pretty sure NHL and the red wings were pissed nothing came of that. I expect as well that cowen gets a game or two. Call it what you want, whether he deserves to be suspended or not, nhl will make ammends.

Maybe in the future. Unless you mean ECHL because that's the only league where he would be a "stud" right now.
