lol bet money on it when his career is done and like a lot of wives of pro athletes, she gets rid of him. Pretty much what happens to 50% of those athletes. The women who stay with them are just as bad... a lot of them just take the money while it's good then take 1/2 after the status of being married to a professional athlete is over.

Also seriously doubt Spezza - with a baby - is anywhere near a bar 'banging whores'.  It just doesn't happen.  Ask me about going out with a new baby - no dice.
Also... why would I be THAT precise with the where? lol

I love it how NEELY is so "100%" right all the time. You've proven nothing. Just lots of accusations and whenever we ask for proof (pictures, corroborating testimonies) we get zip. Yeah, 50% of pro athletes' marriages end in divorce and the puck bunnies who marry them are heartless whores and unfit mothers. Right. 50% is pretty much a statistic in the general population (although I think this includes "common law" which, IMO, is not the same thing as marriage with witnesses and vows. I realize that 84% of quoted statistics are made up on the spot but still. NEELY, show proof or show restraint.

A lot of hockey players do that Dung in their spare time I imagine. It's so easy with puck bunnies throwing themselves at you.

Doesn't mean their game falls apart. Look at Yzerman.

Spezza is physically falling apart, hope he recovers sooner rather than later.

Haha McGratton going to rehab not proof eh...? Did I need to be in there with him and take selfies? My "accusations" have proven to be correct in the past. Sucks everyone who has kids are finding out their "hero's" are pieces of trash. Sucks having to lie to your children, I get that.

As for Spezza, I think you are right. He has injured basically every part of his body with the worst being his back and I can appreciate just how tough it is to come back from a bad back. I had to switch careers because of my back so that part isn't lost on me. That said, I wouldn't be trying to extend him beyond his contract at this point either until you see what the finished product is at year end with him, I think everyone is holding their breath at this point because right now he can't even get up and down the ice.

McGratton? The only "proof" was that he went in for alcohol abuse. That's the only thing that was reported in the media. And, in case you have forgotten, you claimed:
- Emery, McGratton and Spezza (among others) were serious cocaine users
- Meszaros and Emery had sex with underaged girls at Emery's house
- Cocaine was a recreational drug used by pretty much everyone except me

You were asked for proof and you offered none. Not saying you are wrong, but if you think that saying "fact is" and "ha ha" is proof, then don't give up your day job to try your hand at being a lawyer.

Interesting read for the tinfoil hat of us:

http://highsticksfreekicks.blogspot.ca/2013/10/the-refs-have-it-in-for-us-is-there-any.html

  • The Ottawa Senators have not had a season in which they had more Powerplay time than Penalty Kill time since 2006-2007
  • Between 2007-2008 and 2013-2014, the Ottawa Senators have spent 352 more minutes killing penalties than playing with a man advantage (This is just shy of 6 full games).  The Colorado Avalanche, during the same stretch spent 103 minutes more killing penalties than playing on the PP.
  • In the 2011-2012 season, the Colorado Avalanche were in a league of their own, with a -114 minute PP : PK ratio.  The 29th place team had to kill 34 minutes fewer, and the 1st place team (CBJ) were 216 minutes clear of them at +102.
  • On average, between 2007-2008 and 2013-2014, the Ottawa Senators have found themselves 27th in the league in the PP : PK time statistic, never reaching higher than 22nd in 2008-2009.  Their second highest finish was 27th.  Colorado Avalanche were on average, 18th during the same span, but ranged as high as 4th and as low as 30th.

Yes, McGratton went to rehab for alcohol abuse... just like Flurry did. That's ALWAYS what they claim. Why was it that Emery went to Russia again?

Just for the record I would never take a picture of someone doing that stuff and most people are not dumb enough to be taking one or being in one... Lord knows I wasn't that stupid and being part of this scene for a while.

Anyways, like I said you can choose to believe what you wish but I have in fact proven to be pretty accurate when talking about this. How quickly after I stated all this were McGratton, Emery, Heatley, Meszaros, Schuebert, Redden, and Comrie gone? Think they all left within 18 months of each other I believe.

Honestly, I am getting sick of talking about this and hearing about it. The Sens don't have the puck... ever. They are playing without it I would say close to 75% of the game right now and that means you are going to get 75% to 25% of the penalties in that game. If you have the puck chances are you are not taking penalties, if you don't, chances are you will.

Sens are doing it to themselves, simple as that.

We're talking about going all the way back to the post-SCF season. Are you saying the Sens have been playing without the puck since 2007-08? I don't think I'd be able to get possession time stats going back that far (if at all), but here are the face off stats:

2007-08: 51.7% (7th in the league)
2008-09: 51.8% (6th)
2009-10: 49.3% (18th)
2010-11: 50.8% (11th)
2011-12: 50.1% (16th)
2012-13: 49.2% (21st)
2013-14: 45.0% (24th)

For the first two years following the SCF run they were top-10 in faceoffs. During 4 of the years cited in the original article they were over 50%.

The year that Karlsson won the Norris certainly they were pretty good at possession. Yet Karlsson was called a diver and the Sens were 28th in the league in times short-handed with 310 (only Montreal and Philly were worse with 315 and 319, respectively). Guess where the truculent Maple Leafs placed? 5th. The really, really bad Panthers and Islanders? 4th and 3rd, respectively.

Again, if they have the puck they don't need to worry.

May as well put it in here... does Edmonton get desperate enough to make a deal involving say Gagne and Dubnyk for Anderson, Michalek, and Da Costa?

how is this a good deal for us? Dubnyk is overpaid, we've no need for gagne. I could see how we might want to part with michalek but any deal with EDM has one of their 1st round picks of the last few years coming back.
to me it sounds more like a trade scenario proposed by a EDM fan.

Oh sorry, I forgot the iron man, Jason Spezza looks like he is close to his old form.

Spezza will be fine. How about we upgrade Michalek into a top line forward if we're gonna deal Anderson +.
