People who worry about Ryan don't know the guy we got. This is how he plays the game.
Who's worried about the guy? The top line should be a worry, no question. 2/3's of it isn't skating or doesn't have the ability to skate right now and Ryan isn't a guy who burns people down the wing. Again, put a guy like Greening in there who will willingly get in on the forecheck and is extremely durable and things will probably start to click.

IMO which doesn't count for much MacLean is trying to put a square peg into a round hole with Michalek right now. Again IMO he won't last much longer on that line and they will switch it up before that road trip is over. If I'm wrong, awesome, means Michalek is getting going.

Where??!

Wonder who the next call up is... I would guess Peterson if they are looking for a winger top play in the top 9 and get some PP time.

Is Simpson not the media? I literally agreed with what you said there and you questioned it. If the Sens come out and correct the media, great. Not me saying it to the public.

One Spezza:

Paul MacLean says Jason Spezza will be fine for the trip. Sat out practice today with same groin issues as before.

Not a great injury to a guy who isn't a great skater to begin with. Far from a bad skater but he needs to be 100% to be effective like people expect him to be.

As I mentioned before, The Hockey Simmer takes digs at just about every player he talks about and he's done nothing but knock Ryan's skating since Ottawa traded for him. More recently it's been the skating and the conditioning.

How come it isn't Pageau on the top line Spez's spot? No offense to Da Costa, but it's pretty clear who the better player is.

Maybe they're saving Pageau to replace Michalek if he misses time.

Simmer just needs to relax and have a few pops

He's done so on many occasions with the who's who of hockey. I know because he mentions it all the time.

Kids need to stay some time on the bottom 6. It's always the best thing to do long term.
Not that I think JGP would start getting comfortable on the top 6 though.

No. Simpson is *a* member of a single medium -- radio. Saying "media" implies it's been on radio, tv, print, etc. It's been (primarily) one guy whose opinion is trashed here on a daily basis (not by me -- I actually don't mind him).

Ryan says about himself that he is not the fastest starter.

Regardless of history, 2 games in is a ridiculous way to look at stats no matter how you slice it.
