Ryan's starts (first 10 games) each yearwprager wrote:No. Simpson is *a* member of a single medium -- radio. It's been said through the media that, yah Ryan isn't in shape. As for Michalek, the guy has lost a step and of course he is out of shape, he's spent the better part of 2 seasons off his leg because it's always injured. Say what you want about the top line but 2/3's of that line is very much injury prone.Ian Mendes @ian_mendes wrote:

Ryan says about himself that he is not the fastest starter.

If they are taking an 'extra' player for the West Coast trip -- it had better be a bigger player. Those Kings, Sharks, Ducks & Coyotes.. have a lot of bigger players...NEELY wrote:Wonder who the next call up is... I would guess Peterson if they are looking for a winger top play in the top 9 and get some PP time.wprager wrote:Mark Stone has his arm in a sling. Robinson takes his place on the top line in practice. Goes from healthy scratch to top line.
Apparently Simmer is a huge Habs fans. Not surprising the digs he takes at the Sens. I notice when listening to him on the radio.. IF they have an interview with someone... Simpson does most of the talking... not the invitee... He annoys me.. I don't like him. He is in the same line of talking as Jim Jerome.. I call it.. degrading to women..SeawaySensFan wrote:As I mentioned before, The Hockey Simmer takes digs at just about every player he talks about and he's done nothing but knock Ryan's skating since Ottawa traded for him. More recently it's been the skating and the conditioning.NEELY wrote:Is Simpson not the media? I literally agreed with what you said there and you questioned it. Very much so. Was gonna say that earlier and forgot. The sooner they make decisions faster, the quicker we'll get the puck up the ice and get on the offensive.LeKing wrote:Defense needs to be a little faster in decision making. I am guessing the 2nd pairing will need some time
Getting annoying at this point.SeawaySensFan wrote:I got to hear the "Hockey Simmer" crapping on Bobby Ryan again and TSN wally seemed pretty pissed about it.
That was gold. Love how brent wallace just effectively shuts up the 'simmer'. It's a good listen:SeawaySensFan wrote:I got to hear the "Hockey Simmer" crapping on Bobby Ryan again and TSN wally seemed pretty pissed about it.
lol. Cute!wprager wrote:It's almost game day
So, what do you think the Sens will do? Take Jean-Gabriel and Cory to Disneyland? It's only a half hour drive.
No sound at work. What does he say?Michallica wrote:That was gold. Love how brent wallace just effectively shuts up the 'simmer'. It's a good listen:SeawaySensFan wrote:I got to hear the "Hockey Simmer" crapping on Bobby Ryan again and TSN wally seemed pretty pissed about it.

One of the best posts ever. I was a little shocked that it got that confrontational. But also delighted.Michallica wrote:That was gold. Love how brent wallace just effectively shuts up the 'simmer'. He (Wallace) basically interviewed Ryan and asked him point blank about the fitness testing at camp. Ryan replied "What do you want me to do, print it out and fax it to you? My results from camp were very good. I was third in skating among the entire team [Karlsson, Greening, Ryan? Or does MacArthur sneak in ahead of EK?]." He followed up with a story back in Anaheim when he was 20; Carlyle came in, put the results in front of him and said "You need to change" and Ryan said "I did, I changed, and I haven't had a problem with fitness or conditioning in 7 years."NEELY wrote:Can't get the sound clip, what did he say?
