Again, this is probably the only chance they have to send a message that doesn't hurt the player or team that if you don't work, you won't play. He probably had the exact same mind set as all the fans, "I've made it". Well clearly he hasn't. Pageau took his spot.

I'm very surprised Zbad got sent down. I think he's proven last year that his place was with the big club, from what i noticed he has put in the effort this year. he was clearly one of the better players in the game in montreal and his compete level seemed higher then most while they started loosing. this isn't sending the right message I think. I do hope he doesn't spend too long in Bingo and I do hope we move Dacosta sooner rather then later.

Exactly. He's on a pretty high horse with still 2 years to go on his entry level. A few goals and a couple good games in the NHL and he believes his spot is secure? That's his own fault.

Again though, he had a spot and lost it, Karlsson wasn't ready. There is a difference there. He came into camp expecting a spot, it's not a shot at the kid or his personality but he got the boot down to Bingo because he lost his spot to start the year.

There's no question he's going to be back up and probably sooner than later but the Sens needed to send this message. Basically work as hard as Pageau and you will be on this team.

Haha, I'm just flattered he takes the time to read my posts.  I mean, what's more damning that saying "this guy was wrong about a 23 man roster.  It's 22 IDIOT!"... lol ouchers.  Yup, I was wrong, they carry 22, not 23.  May as well stop watching Sens hockey or just NHL hockey in general.

Anyways, I went with what MacLean said 2 weeks ago about the roster.  I blame Zibanejad for not working hard enough because it turned into a case of me being wrong.  Another message sent right there.

For sure. This guy's got all the tools for a long, meaningful NHL career but I don't think the "grooming" part is quite there yet.

Exactly. He will probably play 20 games, maybe not even that down in Bingo, someone will get injured, and he will be back up playing meaningful minutes in the NHL. I don't know what everyone is in a fuss about a 20 year old player going down to the AHL. Again, message sent, hopefully message received.
