They are all being sent down and require waivers. Tough for Lawson not to even get a game in.

I've seen that before -- a waived player playing for the team. He can actually continue playing for a while. If someone claims him, though, and it's before game time, they might have to pull him out of the lineup.

That seems to be the way Murray does business. He's giving him every chance to get picked up by a team that wants him to play. He really seems to get the human side of the business (see Fisher, Mike).

Agreed. Too bad the budget sometimes gets in the way (see Alfredsson, Daniel).

Apparently Ian Mendes is leaving Sportsnet to join the Team 1200. This is great news for Ottawa sports radio.

If true, AJ and Ian will be the only good radio guys.

Team 1200 is basically 100 percent reliant on the existence of the Senators in Ottawa. We all know about the broken Zamboni and the NHLs concerns about the teams finances. Let's hope Ian can continue to provide for his family with this move.
