That Turris line looked really solid last night as well, good mix there if you get a guy like Karlsson or Weircioch out with them. 2 shooters who can make a play and Conacher who can go out there and do the dirty stuff needed to put in the garbage and get the puck in the corners. I'll say it again, I really like that MacArthur signing.

Yeah I agree. I see Andy as a very good stopgap until Lehner can take over. I could see Andy winning a Cup with another team, he is quite good and his time in Ottawa will certainly get him a starter role and nice contract elsewhere.

I wonder who Lehner's backup would be, would they get an Alex Auld or would they bring Lawson up (for example).

Anderson is a future Edmonton Oiler

Could be Hammond, could be Dreidger (who might be ready for that role in 2 seasons)... could go out and get a guy like Emery at some point if he can't be a starter... something like that.

I think an older goalie would make the most sense. But we do have under contract until after next season. I wouldn't trade him unless the return is huge.

I don't think you let Anderson go until the deadline next year and that's if and only if Lehner has proven to be able to handle the load which I think he will. If Anderson does get traded in the off season it's because they have full confidence in Lehner but as we have all seen having depth in goal pays off... 2 guys you can count on is so important.

I think an older guy for Lehner is the way to go as well and looking at the guys that might be available around that time, Emery sticks out the most to me. (Guy will be 32, 33 which is diff than mid 20's Emery). That said perhaps they want a capable backup that they want to develop like Lehner, Driedger then sticks out. Give the reps to Hogberg and Brassard down in the AHL/ECHL. Anyways, we'll see.

I wouldn't be opposed to Emery. He's apparently matured a lot through his injury struggles.

Getting run out of a city by drug dealers and a career and life altering injury will do that. That said, those same people may not want him back either so... haven't associated with those people in a long time.

Yeah, it's a chance to showcase himself. They might've done this just to give him extra motivation.
