I find this topic interesting. More so than "what are you watching right now..."

Thread-crapping (which is exactly what you did) is the sad part. Don't want to read this thread? Well, guess what, we're not mass-emailing you the replies. You actually have to click to come here. Don't tell the people who find this interesting to close this thread. If you really have so many more important things to do than this, then please go do them.

I'm going to call BS on the whole thing.

This would be a very serious issue had it really happened, and considering Eklund hasn't addressed it at all, would say its just a stunt by Yost.

Eklund is very big into tracking IP addresses, and the board mods are usually very quick to hunt down any potential issues - like spam links and the like.

Yost probably did it to try and stir up controversy, to build up his name.

I'm saying anyone who finds a keyboard war interesting needs a life. Especially one with absolutely nothing behind it. But you're right, last post.

True, assuming he actually has the permissions to delete his own blogs. He very well may, just not sure.

However other websites (like SBNation, I think) had material taken down as well (the podcast where they interviewed Yost).

Cant speak for SBNation, but when I was writing for HB I could delete my own posts along with anyone's messages on the various boards.

Yeah it's awfully weird that there's been no mention from Eklund or anyone else.

If HB got hacked, that's pretty serious and they'd want to look at what was compromised and by whom etc.

Although maybe they just keep quiet when this happens, certainly not unheard of in my field. I don't know if HB was hacked before and how they respond, maybe this is normal procedure lol.

No, the SBNation part was an audio podcast they did which included Yost. It was not *his* podcast and he surely would not have permissions to delete it (now, of course, SBNation could have just been pulling our leg -- the podcast was back up shortly after).

And It's only SBNation in my memory -- I apologize in advance if it was actually (probably?) another site.

Or maybe they hacked into Eklund's account and changed his password Smile

Like I said in the other thread, a lot of politicing going on right now in Ottawa but everyone should expect as much.

Madely had Jim Watson on this morning. I think he let him off easy. At one point Watson was saying how Melnyk has asked for -- and received -- preferential tax rates; maybe Madely should have brought up the overpass/interchange fiasco -- it wasn't on Melnyk's watch, but the city refused to build/service the overpass and interchange, but when it was built they re-assessed the value of the arena and increased the taxes. Shameful behavior from the city. Then Watson mentioned how Edmonton is ponying up $300-400M for a new arena for the Oilers, and how he himself is not in favor of using public money (tax revenues) like that -- I think Madely should have, at that point, asked him how the RCR renovations will be funded, including widening of the access road, and whether the property will be re-assessed to raise taxes.

I am so fed up with Ottawa City Council and the current mayor.

This is why Ottawa has been such a low-rent minor-league City for so long. No vision whatsoever. The Gene should have incorporated something related to bicycles in his plan. That would have gotten an immediate rubber-stamp.

Maybe The Euge can offer to put one of those rent-a-bike things next to the new casino at SBP.

This is why we should be on the payroll.
