I wonder what would happen if Alfie asked the Sens to make a serious push for the Cup.

Now who in the hell do the Canucks have that is worth giving up Mika for -- that makes less than $5M.
oh I see now
Hint: don't go to SensChirp. Literally a useless blog.

If everyone is fully healed come game 1 next year there is no reason why Ottawa won't be a favorite to come out of their own division, that's the semi finals. No way is Boston going back to the conference finals after this season ending so late. Chara will NOT be fully recovered and I know that for a fact, his hips have taken an absolute beating over the last 3 years... Bergeron will be in tough to really find his game again and recover after what he's been through. Horton may not resign, Ferrance isn't coming back... that's 2 big pieces that may not be there.
Ottawa needs to make strong move to really put them on par or better than everyone in the division, that's it. A guy like Lecailvier (probably wont happen), Hossa (won't happen), Eriksson (could happen if they decide to move him), and the Sens are something to deal with.
Eriksson/Spezza/Michalek
Conacher/Turris/Alfi
Silfverberg/Pageau/Zibanejad
Condra/Smith/Neil
Kassian/JOB
I would assume if there was any trade involving a top line talent that Greening is going the other way as the roster player... maybe even Zibanejad if it's the right deal. That forward group right there though... no joke and about as deep as you can get. All the young guys will be another year stronger and more confident to go along with the vets that know how to get the job done.

yeah but he's seeing our budget, and the fact that we can't even afford a zamboni, so he will jump ship to New York with Henrik Lundqvist
