I don't think Silf will be getting sat. At this point, I just see the Pageau/Latendresse spots as the ones that could be tinkered with.

I'd keep Latendresse in..while he hasn't been great, I think he has the capability of scoring a big goal for us. Maybe get JOB in for Pageau, but I don't think that will make a difference either. We really just have to roll with the current group and expect them to be better. They are the guys (for the most part) that exceeded expectations all year. Thinking that a JOB or Stone for that matter will reverse our fortunes is just grasping for something that isn't there.

Seriously, taking 1 guy out vs putting another guy in at this point is just tinkering for the sake of tinkering. The guys that play the game need to get the job done despite a fantastic season from all involved.

The guy that has to be better is Anderson. Since coming back his not so great games have trumped his very solid games. As Anderson goes the Sens go.

We've been riding Anderson's unsustainable save percentage all season, we're now getting the unavoidable regression to the mean. He is not THAT good, he had a .914 last year.

I wouldn't blame Anderson one bit, they need to score more than 1 goal to win a game.

Cmon now, the 3 goals were one timers and he stopped a few other one timers like that throughout the whole game.
They just fell asleep last night and got distracted, starting with Chris Neil with the 1st goal. Stupid play.

Our kids got beat by a top experienced team and it showed.

Not blamming Anderson but if the Sens want any shot of winning or getting out of this slump then Anderson needs to be better, simple as that.

Anderson hasn't mad a big time save in some time, nothing game changing. Whether it was against the Panthers, Lightning, or Penguins last night he has been very average.

Well he's well above average the entire year, he can't maintain that forever. We've been spoiled by really good goaltending all year really.

We don't have the offense to compensate for when he does have an average game (which will happen).

They need to fix the garbage PP, maybe Karlsson's return will fix that but it's a sick joke at this point. We are getting good PP opportunities lately and we are just embarrassing trying to score with the man advantage.

#1 problem is offense, lack of scoring and finish. They generally play well and generate chances but no one can bury it. A lot of perimeter play lately as well.

Hard to fix things with Karlsson and Spezza out, hopefully EK's return can spark things because there is not much else they can do.

They have more days to rest now and Karlsson will most likely draw in against the Flyers. Not much else we can do except hope that Winnipeg blows it.

Yeah we've had big saves all year, I think right now I would take a big goal which hasn't happened in weeks either.
The looks like a 1st round exit one

As tough as it is to say anything negative about Matrix , the pre-injury Matrix probably gets us at least one loser point out of the past two games, which would've been huge.

You started to see The Alfie go into The Alfie mode in the last game. I expect him to have a huge next game and pot at least one goal.

This downward spiral (losing 7 of last 11 games in regulation) all started when that #peskysens BS started getting blown up by the marketing team and printing t-shirts and Dung.

#karma?

We just need to get back to playing the way we were when we were winning.

Seriously... the Sens PR/Marketing group needs to be turfed and re-thought.

So it's the Marketing Dept. fault now ? Did we lose the SCF due to the gladiator too ?

They need to stop with the cute perimeter play and shot from 20+ feet out into the goalie's chest and start crashing the net for garbage goals.

Last night the whole Matt Cooke thing went to their head too I think.

It's a really young team with very little elite players that we can count on scoring. It has to be a total team effort because there is no one to count on really.

Well I for one think we're Cussed!! That was an extremely discouraging game last night and I don't know why they didn't come out guns a blazing to take out pittsburgh.

What's worse is it felt like pittsburgh came out strong to play for cooke, and we came out with that piss poor game for karlsson. Unreal. Not the first time either.

No, but being that the team is young and all, I think they started buying into their own hype. Go look at our players twitter feeds and most if not all keep mentioning how pesky they are.

Anyways obviously I'm exaggerating, but these guys gotta wake up already. Florida game, toronto game, and last night were all just alarming. And last time we lost to toronto, we ended up with 5 straight losses. And if there's anything about the senators, they are real creatures of habit.

Yeah I think they've definitely gotten overconfident lately. I didn't mind the PeskySens thing too much, at least it was keeping the mood positive on a real tough season with all the injuries. Maybe they bought into it a little too much.

All part of the learning curve, this season is a springboard for next season where hopefully we'll be healthy. Making the playoffs and whatever they do in the post season is just gravy at this point.

But staying cool and on task in the drive for a playoff spot is something a lot of them will have to learn as we'll be doing that annually.

One thing's for certain. This off season there'll be some huge players available because of the cap going down. Murray will need to weigh his options and pick up a guy who can score to play the wing.

I guess Latendresse will be let go, obviously Regin will be, there'll be a space open for a Briere or someone who can put the puck in the net under some pressure. Some darn creativity needs to be added as well.

Briere isn't someone you want to add if scoring is a problem judging by his stats.

We need top-end talent, that's why going after guys like Nash, Perry made sense. Not sure who'd be available off the top of my head but I am sure they will leave doors open for players for Bingo to be able to step in (Stone, Puempel etc.) and see if they can do the job.
