Sabres will win. That was a tough game for them to lose at home, against the Islanders. Now they have to travel to Buffalo. I would imagine if their traveling schedule was more like the other teams in the Division that they would have 1-2 more wins, or 2-4 more points. But then they'd be in 3rd and the Caps would be in 8th, with the Sens still in 7th and looking at climbing back into 6th.

Anyhow, Sabres will win, book it.

Even if the Sabres don't beat the Jets tonight they have the Jets have the Caps tomorrow and that will also clinch a playoff spot for Washington if they do indeed win that game.

If Ottawa wins tonight, the Jets season is over. All the Sens have to do is win and they should be able to beat a Pens team that has clinched, trying to stay healthy, without Malkin, Crosby, Neal, and Letang.

There is no excuse for Ottawa not to be the hardest working team on the ice tonight, none, zip, nil.

Sens have a game in hand over the remaining East teams. We need that game in hand to be a WIN.

I think he might draw in before then as a PP specialist. I think he'll want to get 8 or 9 minutes a game of action before he debuts. But yes, the 27th was always a date that was bandied around when people in the know heard how close he was.

It's against the Bruins.. who this team has beaten 1 time in the last 2 seasons.. Not a good scenario. And the Bruins will be pushing for top in the division with the Habs...

All that can help the Sens is if Wash beats the Jets... But if the Caps clinch that division they will rest players...

They haven't clinched yet and will be playing the (tired) Jets tomorrow.

Gotta hope the Jets/Caps isn't a 3 pt game...also should hope for a Caps win while we're at it. Both teams have been pretty good lately...hope Pavelec is tired.

Not sure what PMac can do to get the Sens back on track... considering how much he's gotten out of them already this year... if Karlsson is coming back in the next game or two... maybe that's the boost the team needs to re-engage.

Sit Silf for at least 1 game. The guy is gassed. Bring up someone from Bingo, Mark Stone is a candidate as he finished very strong.

Gotta add some kind of spark to the team without solely relying on Karlsson. Silf will be better for it.

I don't think Silf will be getting sat. At this point, I just see the Pageau/Latendresse spots as the ones that could be tinkered with.

I'd keep Latendresse in..while he hasn't been great, I think he has the capability of scoring a big goal for us. Maybe get JOB in for Pageau, but I don't think that will make a difference either. We really just have to roll with the current group and expect them to be better. They are the guys (for the most part) that exceeded expectations all year. Thinking that a JOB or Stone for that matter will reverse our fortunes is just grasping for something that isn't there.

Seriously, taking 1 guy out vs putting another guy in at this point is just tinkering for the sake of tinkering. The guys that play the game need to get the job done despite a fantastic season from all involved.

The guy that has to be better is Anderson. Since coming back his not so great games have trumped his very solid games. As Anderson goes the Sens go.

We've been riding Anderson's unsustainable save percentage all season, we're now getting the unavoidable regression to the mean. He is not THAT good, he had a .914 last year.

I wouldn't blame Anderson one bit, they need to score more than 1 goal to win a game.
