For a $7M investment, you might want some kind of return.

The media would be beyond hostile to him, considering how Kovalev and Filatov were treated(deserved or not - it's a distraction). Gonchar is the closest to the media's whipping boy he's been largely solid.

Perry makes too much sense, don't want the Habs or Leafs to get him (or anyone in our division for that matter).

Perry makes perfect sense until he sighs with someone else though. If that happens we need to have other options. The russian factor my come into play.

One guy that might be going to market that could come in and be a decent top 6 guy is Macrthur... LH shot that would slide into where Latendresse was supposed to play, same kind of player.

Latendresse is skating on the top 2 lines this morning. Ottawa is getting healthy again and Latendresse might be hitting his stride when Michalek, Alfi, and others might need a rest.

Nope, no reason to rush Latendresse back or really change the lineup after a very solid game by the Sens. Give him another week perhaps before they get him into a game and go from there.

Ottawa's trade deadline moves will be Spezza and Latendresse... maybe they pick up a guy like White to create a little more depth on the blueline but that's about it.
