Stay the course might be the best option, but I would say we can't afford to let him land in Montreal or Boston.

That would be nice. We are at such a disadvantage when it comes to UFAs it'd be nice to have an advantage for once.

An elite winger for Spezza's line is our top need right now. Perry should hit 50 (or close) playing here.

There will be some options come July but Perry is obviously the best one. Would love to see them make a trade for Briere as well if they somehow land Perry.

According to both Pierre McGuire and Bobby Mac, Briere is not going anywhere, because he refuses to waive his NTC. He does have custody of 3 kids in Philly.

I think our defense is set for the future. Cowen, Karlsson, Wiercioch and Gryba is starting to look really sexy.

That's the thing that really mystifies me...when the media talks about an Alfie trade scenario, they seem to ignore the fact that we are currently very much in the playoff picture. Sportsnet was all over this subject last night, spouting off different trade circumstances...what a waste of time.

It's something to talk about because they can't rip on the Leafs.

Back to back road games this weekend. @ Philly on Sat and then @ the Islanders on Sunday. These are both winnable games. Would be nice to take both this weekend. Anderson will be addressing the media today. Wonder if he'll pay this weekend? If Lehner is sent down today, then I guess we'll know for sure.
