I'm not sure you can prove it unless you took the people who reported it seriously. There was a lot happening at the time for me personally, but I remember being as convinced as possible that that was the deal.

And it fits what the jackets were looking for too.

I can believe they offered Lehner, he had a bad season last year and after getting Bishop last year they might have thought to sell him on him while they can. He surprised many this year with his new attitude so I'd say he's off the table now.

I still doubt it but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Michalek is basically untradeable at this point because no team is going to give up anything for a guy whos knee's might not hold up and is due for surgery in the off season... best chance Ottawa has in signing Perry is him staying with the Ducks and leaving in the off season.

Plan B is going to be Horton I would bet.

Yeah as long as it stays speculation, but the SpezD comes in here and say we traded Lehner already

Anderson and Lehner are not going anywhere. One is pretty much part of the core and well liked by the fans. Other is as promising as they get and homegrown talent. Bishop is traded this summer period.
Halak got traded a few weeks after the best goalie performance of the decade in the playoffs. Because they have decided a long time ago that Price was the future. Same with Sens management about Lehner.

I consider that a bad trade by Gauthier. Look at the teams requiring goaltending depth, they could have easily gotten more imo.

Eller and a mid tier prospect? About a 1st and a 3rd basically. If it's Columbus I wouldn't be upset to see Murray take their 2nd and Jenner... something along those line. I think Columbus will want to hold on to everyone one of those 1st rounders if for no other reason to create a real buzz around the team.

IMO that's ideal for the Sens, early 2nd, real solid prospect.

Although, if and when Anderson is healthy if they did flip Bishop for Brassard I wouldn't be shocked or upset. Most important thing would be he is a RFA after his contract is up and he's a LH shot they need for balance up front.

Not a bad idea really.

There is one player that has looked really solid this year that no one has noticed or talked about and he might fit on a top line with Spezza... that's Boyes. He's very quietly having a good season and was very noticeable in both games against the Sens and in a lot of others this year.

Might be a guy the Sens can look at come the deadline.

He gives up coming back defensively though a lot. Mac would kill him I think. I've tried to watch him specifically though because I've always liked him as a sniper.

RH shot as well which is an issue. They don't really have anyone except Michalek that shoots left in the top 6.

I think islanders will try and resign Boyes though.

Horton might be an option too if Zack Smith approves
