The goaltending has been amazing and consistent, if they found their scoring touch last night, then perhaps we can get back into a winning mode. They're likely not to let in that many goals again for a while.

Still need someone like Latendresse to come back, or need to deal for someone like Bouchard if the price is low. Either way, they could use a hand up front.

I'm not sure if Latendresse would really be a big help right now, but Michalek coming back is big. If we can take 3 of the next 6 points, I'll consider that a big win, and 2 of the next 6 would be nothing to sneeze at either.

Zibanejad is looking real good.

4G in 7 games I think.

I have to admit that I haven't been able to catch a sens game since the last one we won. school and my GF have taken too much time from me. it has also led me to believe that I may be responsible for the sens being in this losing streak in an indirect manner as this may be a curse of some sort... I watch, they win. i don't they lose.
Ok, place your bets, i think I'll be able to watch the game on friday.

edit: oh wait, i saw them lose to Boston. still...

Yikes.

Friday's game is as "must-win" as you can get right now, given the two that follow it.

No way we are losing to the Habs on wed. I'm having a half dozen habs fans over for the game. there's no possible way in hell that the hockey gods would do this to me... Sarcasm Ahhhhh!

Could have had a hat trick last night.

I really think it is. As MacLean said, Michalek is a bonafide NHL player who has experience scoring goals at the NHL level and so is Latendresse - although obviously not as much.

Just having a big dude who can play and take some more attention away from Turris and Alfie etc. is a very good thing. If we can get him back in the next week, that would be great, then we can look forward to our top line forward coming back ( Ahhhhh! )

Really looking good, really impressed with how he handled being scratched (I think he was...) and how MacLean and Reeds and Cameron have handled him. Looks like he's starting to put together a strong NHL game.

I didn't see the game how did Stone look ?

Latendresse has talent and he hasn't really had a chance to get going here. Plus he is no rookie. The problem is who comes out ? And of course how effective he will be after a long layoff ? He didn't look very good in his first few games but he did have some chances.

Less rookies in the top 6 is a plus, let them play against easier opposition and less pressure on them to score.

There's no way Karlsson comes back this season and I hope they stop him if he tries. You don't want him coming back at less than 100%. Wouldn't want him to decline over the years like Redden did.

I only saw the first period personally. Not sure how Stone faired.

Not bad at all for a debut. Nice hits, crashed the net, was noticeable and no dangerious giveaways

Funny how Mendes says 2-3 weeks and Dreger has to chime in with a different story.

I guess that means that Dave Nonis thinks Spezza is a month away.

Trust The Mendes.

Yikes.

Rags are missing Staal. Boston has lost two in a row. They'll be beating the crap out of the Leafs, tonight, after losing to the Caps, so maybe they'll be a little tired when the Flyers roll into town. That could lead to an injury or two. Not sure what to say about the Habs. They keep surprising me this season. So we'll probably beat them 5-1 again.

Bieksa had a 90% cut, and missed 27 games (3-1/2 months). He did say that it took a year to get back to 100% but it goes to show that after 3-1/2 months the tendon is as healed as it's going to get -- there is no risk of re-injury and it's just a matter of rehabbing it and getting back in shape.

"The time line is four to six months," he said. "I still remember to the day, I came back in three months and 22 days, and when I first got back I was second-guessing myself. I didn't feel comfortable on the ice or in my skates. It took a good year to feel 100 per cent. Luckily, he is not going to be rushed back because he is going to be taking the summer to rehab, but it's a tough injury."

Sounds like he is not recommending coming back as soon as he did.
