Yes he can skate on his own now and I guess he wants to stay involved with the team, some injured players hate being away while they recover. I believe they had him as "eye in the sky" a few times already.

Plus I think he has family in Toronto so he might just be hitching a ride down there.

2 weeks would be amazing.

I think even the people that ripped on Spezza the most in the past (fairly or unfairly) know exactly how important he is to this franchise now and far into the future. I'll never be convinced he captain material but he's getting that C when Alfi calls it quits.

Daugavins and a 6th for Parros. IMO he's a guy the Sens need playing in the division they are right now... he did a great job on a cup winning team and some nights you need him.

I guess that means that Dave Nonis thinks Spezza is a month away.

Friday's game is as "must-win" as you can get right now, given the two that follow it.

With Anderson coming back hopefully in the next week or so, and Spezza ahead of schedule, hopefully the boys can continue to hold the fort until then. We're very much in the mix.

All fans wanted were the Sens to keep their heads above water and they have done that. Even if they are hanging on to 8th by the end of March, even a couple points out, they can find a way to get back in it and keep plugging away.

If they get back to the playoffs they could very well have Karlsson back at that point. Only team you don't want to hit IMO is Boston, Ottawa can beat the rest. You hope they can keep up the pace so they can finish right where they are right now, 6th.

The goaltending has been amazing and consistent, if they found their scoring touch last night, then perhaps we can get back into a winning mode. They're likely not to let in that many goals again for a while.

Still need someone like Latendresse to come back, or need to deal for someone like Bouchard if the price is low. Either way, they could use a hand up front.

I'm not sure if Latendresse would really be a big help right now, but Michalek coming back is big. If we can take 3 of the next 6 points, I'll consider that a big win, and 2 of the next 6 would be nothing to sneeze at either.

Zibanejad is looking real good.
