Agreed, this roster still has promise, even with Karlsson and Spezza out. What they need is someone to come in and give them a hand. It SHOULD be Michalek, but it isn't. He can't be counted on with the way he's so damn streaky. Alfie can do so much, same with Turris - another guy that's slightly unfair to ask to be the savior. I'm not saying we need to make desperate moves, but we need to work as a team and add two warm bodies with some NHL success.

We were super thin before any of this happened. Look at how shoddy we were simply losing Spezza. We couldn't buy a goal to save our lives without him in the lineup. Brutal. We're like a three-player team. Spezza-Karlsson-Anderson.

The Wiz and ROR - two guys who could help this franchise long term. Can they be had? Not sure, will Murray try for something like this? Yes.

Unless they can get Wiznewski for a decent price then don't bother. ROR is a long term fixture if he happens to be had but other than that, gotta sit tight and see how things fall.

Here's the thing about a trade right now:
Murray is a very experienced man. He knows he has to keep the guys focused and motivated. At the end of the day Spezza and Karlsson are 2 players and there are still 20 other proud guys in there. And a very good coach.
If you make a panic move now, the players will lose confidence and think the GM doesn't believe in the group they have.
I think he will wait for trade deadline and decide what to do depending on where we stand.

Why don't bother with The Wiz? He's perfect for here.

That's a player, if they wanted to move him you could get in the off season. Right now you have to let things plays out.

1) you can't give up on the team and they won't.
2) Karlsson can't be replaced nor can Spezza
3) It has to be a move that makes sense.
