I honestly think Weiss is a better fit than Perry at this point simply for the fact he might be a little more diverse, is a LH shot, and doesn't cost nearly as much to obtain. Maybe shoot for Perry is he becomes a UFA... but holding steady with a very uncertain year ahead might be what's best.

Weiss would fit here like a glove. I'd try to acquire a forward, right away. We can't afford to wait until Spezza's back - next game will tell the ultimate story. No excuses vs Buffalo.

That would be a good measuring stick. If we can't beat a team that's struggling to keep the scores against down, we're in trouble.

Some of their injured players are back in Regehr & Kaleta. Look for Kaleta to cause a lot of nastiness in that game... I can honestly say he is a player I hate..

Wtf! I missed this? He's Cussing injured again?!

Oh well. Outside of a couple games, he hasn't been very good this season from what I've seen of him.

Played 4 shifts in the Jets game and went out with a chest injury. Whether is was a body check or he blocked a shot... don't really know. Pascal Leclaire 2.0 and Latendresse is 3.0

Pretty much. And they're really not a great team even with Regher and Ehrhoff back - if they are. Their D isn't great, not that mobile. We'll see how the Sens respond, this is a heck of a big game and they haven't really been showing up for big games recently in terms of picking up wins.

They have Miller. And if Inigo Montoya can shut us out, how much more so Miller?

If they get beat Buffalo after the game they played Saturday while at home, this team will officially be in a downward spiral that will be tough to pull out of. A win on Tues is pretty close to a must win because hitting the road to play Pitt, Tor, and NJ is no joke. These are all playoff teams and if Ottawa wants any kind of chance at beating them then need to get something going soon. 7 goals in 5 games, 4 of which came in 1 game against Buffalo is scary.

They pissed away some gimme points already. Those are points that should have been banked to give you some breathing room with the tougher schedule ahead. I'm not happy. Farter

That's very true, they really pissed away 2 points against the Jets.

7 goals in 5 games while we have Karlsson says everything we need to know about our forwards.
Get Perry, whatever it takes I don't care.

Yeah, and Michalek going stone cold. And no 2nd line C with Turris in the top spot. Bah, it's not great right now.

Nope, it isn't great. Michalek going cold with very minimal effort on his part to go along with it is frustrating. He's not doing anything remotely out of his comfort zone to try and switch things up.

If they miss the playoffs by a point or two they can look at the Winnipeg game as the game that cost them. Not getting the point against the Habs was a bad break, not getting a point or a win against the Jets was a team flop.

Guess there is a rumour Brassard is on the block again... that's a move that makes sense too. Very similar to Weiss but a little younger.

Meh, if the Sens are in the playoff picture, why not? Dude proved what he can do when he wants to play and that's usually in the playoffs. Would still trade him for Regin 100% of the time.

isn't he a bit more similar to a Regin then to a Weiss? if he was cheap enough (say regin + mid prosepct) could be an interesting experiment. I like the idea that he would probably be cheaper then Weiss.
