Oh, and congratulations to Mike and his wife. I've got twins so he's got his work cut out for him.
That's what a wife is for.
If you're a bigot, then yes.

Hasn't had a game in two weeks and then the first one right when the Sens have one of their rare Saturday night games. My son was telling me the other day how he asn't yet seen Coach's Corner this season.
Luckily the Sens game is at 2pm
Yes, good news that we won't have to miss it, but it means the Sens still haven't been on HNIC this season. Unreal. Started last year. Did they make some kind of deal with the league or the Leafs? Maybe a deal with the refs?

NEELY wrote:A player that could fill a big need in Ottawa... Okposo. That's a guy that could benefit from being traded and the Islanders have probably all but given up on him being a top line forward. I don't think it's totally insane that a Bishop for Okposo deal is close to equal value and something that makes sense for both teams.
Sens do need a LH shot up front that can score some goals too, right now the only guy who can do that (kind of) is Michalek. Silfverberg, Alfi, Spezza, Turris, Zibanejad, Da Costa, Stone, (Okposo if he was a Sen), all righties. Tough to score like that too just like it's hard to play in your own zone without a RH D man.
Weiss being a lefty is a good reason to go hard after that player, maybe even more so than Perry.

I don't think Okposo is the answer. We need someone who's done the round before and had success. Perry is first priority, Weiss second, I dunno, haven't thought much about it, but someone like Vrbata is Phoenix. Someone who has a history of scoring and doesn't rely on a top tiered C necessarily to get it done.
NEELY wrote:I don't think Okposo is the answer either, just thinking out loud and I was bored. I honestly think Weiss is a better fit than Perry at this point simply for the fact he might be a little more diverse, is a LH shot, and doesn't cost nearly as much to obtain. Maybe shoot for Perry is he becomes a UFA... but holding steady with a very uncertain year ahead might be what's best.

Weiss would fit here like a glove. I'd try to acquire a forward, right away. We can't afford to wait until Spezza's back - next game will tell the ultimate story. No excuses vs Buffalo.

That would be a good measuring stick. If we can't beat a team that's struggling to keep the scores against down, we're in trouble.

Wtf! I missed this? He's Cussing injured again?!
Oh well. Outside of a couple games, he hasn't been very good this season from what I've seen of him.
