Guess Englund didn't impress as much as they said.

Claesson has paid his dues. Played ok last year but was playing beyond his capacities in the top 4. With Bart and Boro showing such a poor showing yesterday they might as well try him on the 3rd pairing.
Exactly. And claesson has done it all in bingo. He's likely going back to Sweden next year if he can't crack the sens roster this year so it's not a bad idea to have him as the 6th D and Boro as the 7th.spader wrote:Flo The Action wrote:Englund has to get used to the North American game. I can buy that. I also think that putting Englund on the 1st pairing in Bingo is the way to go. I think that's the best possible thing for him. Getting a billion minutes is definitely better than staying up as a 7th D.
Like I said before, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him earn a spot, but I'm also not surprised that he's going to be an anchor in Bingo.

Ah, I didn't crack open my laptop last night. Thought, maybe, the game would be on Rogers community channel but it wasn't. So the Bingo-boys managed to squeak one out 3-2 against a university team. Apparently Anthony Brodeur played out of his mind first half of the game. Didn't the Geegees beat them last year?
Anyhow, 3PM game today against the Habs. We probably won't see a full lineup until the last pre-season game against Buffalo, but at least Karlsson will be playing, so it's as close to a full NHL lineup as we've seen so far.

It may feel like they're that much closer to the club.wprager wrote:Isn't it like half-way between Ottawa and Toronto? In terms of what kind of city it is I'd say it's about the same.
