Here's a suggestion (your three favorite players):

Well, here's the roster for the game against the GeeGees:

Guess Englund didn't impress as much as they said.

I'm not sure you can say that. It's very possible that they want him to go to Btown so that he can get 25 mins a game. Maybe this is a grooming tactic.

I'm not at all saying that Englund is done, but given the earlier comments it sounded like he may have passed Claesson as the next callup. But since Claesson is not on tonight's roster it looks like he's in the NHL group (still have to wait and see tomorrow's line up, of course, but if he was Bingo-bound he's be playing against uOttawa). They said that after Thursday's game they will split the camp into Ottawa and Bingo squads, so the lineup against uOttawa is the Bingo lineup.

Which doesn't preclude some of them from not spending a long time there.

Chabot can't go to the AHL so he was not going to be in tonight's lineup. So if anyone thinks he's staying in Ottawa because he's not going to Bingo, not necessarily. I'm not even sure he's earned 9 games, TBH. He had one play where he hanged on to the puck way too long and got away with it, but it was still a dangerous play. Other times he pinched when he should have hung back, or went in too deep and left his partner out to dry (never leave your wingman).

Englund has to get used to the North American game. I never thought for one second that he would crack the roster right away.

Claesson has paid his dues. Played ok last year but was playing beyond his capacities in the top 4. With Bart and Boro showing such a poor showing yesterday they might as well try him on the 3rd pairing.

I can buy that. I also think that putting Englund on the 1st pairing in Bingo is the way to go. I think that's the best possible thing for him. Getting a billion minutes is definitely better than staying up as a 7th D.

Like I said before, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him earn a spot, but I'm also not surprised that he's going to be an anchor in Bingo.

Exactly. And claesson has done it all in bingo. He's likely going back to Sweden next year if he can't crack the sens roster this year so it's not a bad idea to have him as the 6th D and Boro as the 7th.

Ah, I didn't crack open my laptop last night. Thought, maybe, the game would be on Rogers community channel but it wasn't. So the Bingo-boys managed to squeak one out 3-2 against a university team. Apparently Anthony Brodeur played out of his mind first half of the game. Didn't the Geegees beat them last year?

Anyhow, 3PM game today against the Habs. We probably won't see a full lineup until the last pre-season game against Buffalo, but at least Karlsson will be playing, so it's as close to a full NHL lineup as we've seen so far.

I was going to say the same thing. I believe you are correct sir.

Anybody else think that Belleville is a better destination than bingo for prospects in terms of them wanting to come over to NA? players in the past were vocals about not wanting to play in that city.

Isn't it like half-way between Ottawa and Toronto? In terms of what kind of city it is I'd say it's about the same.

It may feel like they're that much closer to the club.
