Apparently the NHL has backed off some of the HRR clarification requests, so there's a teeny, tiny bit of progress.

Meh I don't really get what they're trying to clarify.

And what about the matter of the "Game On" merchandise profits?

Edit: Looks like I spoke to soon... Various reports have the new CBA agreed to, in principle, subject to setting the profit split on "Game On" merchandise...

I refuse to get my hopes up like I did last week that anything gets settled. I will get excited once I hear it from the horses' mouths' (aka Bettman & Fehr) that this is done.

Also -- why would the players ask anything of their Owners/Gms, when players like Spezza said they are kept up to date and more informed this time more than last. They should know everything they need.. UNLESS some of those players don't trust Fehr.

That's hot air, as usual. Have you not heard pro athletes in labour disputes talk about "educating themselves about the process" and the like. Google that quote and you'll probably get results from every strike/lockout from every league. They just want to act like they are engaged and care about the issues. Most guys want this to take care of itself and get PAID.

Sounds like the PA is starting to crumble, lol, that didn't take too long. Happened before new years this time around.
