But at the end of the day is Anderson the future? IMO no and I think most people would agree. Is Anderson the best goaltender in the organization? Debatable. Does he have value to a team that needs a #1? Yes. Is he ready to play right now? Probably not.

At the same time they made the move for Bishop last to add depth, not sure you want to get rid of it either. I see all sides but I think if you add to your blueline by moving Anderson and going with Bishop and Lehner, that's the best move.

I think Ceci gets a shot though... not sure if it's the best idea but you see if he can hang with the NHLers at camp.

Ceci has no business getting a shot before Benoit and Gryba and even Claesson or Wiercioch at this point. None.

I don't disagree but he still might get a look and Gryba is the only other guy that is 100% comfortable playing the right side... that will play in.

Weircioch is a Sen, no reason even to bring him up. He will get top 4 mins beside Gonchar for the season and 2nd unit PP time. The question will be who plugs that right side on the bottom pairing and I agree, Benoit and Gryba will get that shot first I believe. They will carry 7 D men all year and probably 14 forwards as well.

Live coverage on TSN right now. The big issue? Will the Leafs enter the season with two unproven goalies?

Hockey is indeed back.

Lets keep this about the Sens.

Getting a few of the kids from Bingo into the lineup right away will be key IMO, including the goaltending. The guys that will 100% be in an Ottawa uniform will be Silfverberg, Wiercioch, Bishop, one of Gryba or Benoit (maybe both), and perhaps Hoffman or Grant. Those guys will be the key to the season IMO.

Spezza, Karlsson, Michalek, and Gonchar will also be super important.

If anything a lot of our top guys seemed to run out of gas as the season went on. Michalek was near the top of the league in scoring for a long time early on. If they have the same kind of start, it will be positive. Latendresse has shown he can score a lot in short stretches. Regin is no slouch either. Turris should be better, already warmed up with 19 pts. in 21 games in Finland. Could actually be a big improvement up front this year which might alleviate some pressure off the back. A couple of capable farmers could be enough.

Forgot about Turris, he will be very important as well. Regin will be a project still.

Soliiiiiiiid. Wonder if they will be having any juniors? Probably shouldn't considering how well Bingo has played and all the players on that team.

Just saw that on TSN as well. Looks like neither the NHL or CHL GMs are clear yet on what the rules (new?) are regarding signed jrs.

Trade deadline should be coming up too and you know Ottawa wants to move Ceci... you probably avoid that whole situation and just let the jrs finish the year out. Go with the pro's that are playing well IMO.

Like Prags said earlier, I would love to see Gryba get a real shot as that #6 d man. He's paid his dues and seems to do his job well. Same with Hoffman as #13 or 14.

Let's make sure we're ready on D after Lundin's injury. I realize Wiercioch and Benoit and Boro and Gryba may all get chances, but it's still not good enough.

Wiercioch is ready and will be on the blueline in Ottawa from here on out... Benoit will probably get to stick unless they feel he will help the organization a lot more down in Bingo. Gryba is the big unknown IMO... Borowiecki has probably moved down the depth chart a bit.

AHLers are a lot better option right now than a UFA that has no idea how to play within the system and haven't played a game all year. The people saying "you can't go with 3 rookies", usually I would agree but this year is clearly different. Go with the guys playing out of their minds.

Agreed, but experience is lacking big. I would expect them to kick the tires on a vet D-man.

This is a season where experience won't be needed because no one has any playing a 48 game season. If there was ever a year to throw your rookies into the lineup this is it.

You don't think we should look at one vet? How long is Lundin out?
