Someone mentioned on the Team 1200 this morning.. Bogosian... He does not like being in Winnipeg.. but question is the cost would be way too high.. would it not?

I suspect that a good starting point more or less for Bogosian would be a prospect and a 2nd (like Rundblad + 2nd for Turris).

I would not be opposed to Ottawa trading their 1st for him, hehehe....

And I guess the tune on Bogo has changed since the last time his name came up. I remember there was a lot of negativity, and he was even a scratch for many games. But that was last season and he's turned it around since.

If that's true, we should be all over that like Penner on pancakes. Bogosian here would make our top 4 damn near unbeatable....

No way they trade Bogo for a pick, that would set the Jets back years. It'd have to be for another equivalent D-man (would cost us Cowen).

My preference would be 1st + Foligno, but not sure if that would do it. Stone I'd trade yesterday for Bogosian.

I'm with the Dispenser. No way we'd trade Cowen for Bogo. Too lateral a move. I think they're very happy with JC.

There's a part of me that just wants a player like Matt Greene from LA. Love that style of crease-clearing. Not sure who that player is, but we need to add some real toughness back there and shot-blocking and crease clearing.

Parise is almost guaranteed not to be coming here, as is Suter. Both sound like Detroit is a real option for them and Melnyk just shot his damn mouth off about $$.

I could be happy with Allen (188 blocked shots, 111 hits, 17 points) or Garrison (124 blocked shots, 127 hits, 33 points - and a cannon from the back end).

Garrison appears to do it all, didn't realize he blocked so many shots as well as posting some nice offensive numbers - but as mentioned, he hasn't done it before in his career, so there's a risk factor involved for sure.

Whether Garrison has done it before or not isn't really or should be an issue. Fact of the matter is he seems to have a lot of tools and has the mentality to play a hard physical game while providing the Sens with a LH shot on the 1st unit they need in a huge way.

I have the same concerns and views as most that Garrison could be a Jeff Finger type but the Sens won't be going out and signing a Mike Komiserek either.

I've been singing the praises of Garrison since 2011.

His goal/points total may make him a rather pricey option though...especially with the free agent pool not being particularly deep.

We gotta get someone to improve our back-end.
