Rangers win 3-0, looking more and more like NY vs. LA final

Hank stopped all 36 shots that didn't get blocked. Brodeur let in 2 of 21 (22nd was an empty netter). Not good enough. Maybe the Kings won't have to wait that long, after all.

"drink" -- singular? That's one l-o-o-o-o-ng drink.

Sir, step away from the keyboard, please.

What you say will live on in the archives.

Chris Kreider has 5 goals, he was getting 3 minutes of ice time against us at one point Vertigo

I wonder if Silfverberg could have put up some points like that if we lasted longer in the playoffs.

I'm trying hard not to giggle 'cause that would surely wake someone up and they'd wonder what I'm up to.

WCF could wrap up this afternoon... will the brooms be out?

Coyotes @ Kings - 3:00pm ET - Kings lead series 3-0 - CBC has the game

Prediction: Kings win and sweep, again.

Rainn Wilson (Dwight on The Office) is attending his first hockey game tonight. He's asking if he should dress formal or semi-casual. I told him to bring a broom.

Hilarious!

A little back-ground. Rainn Wilson tweeted this:

Dear @LAKings - I've never been to a hockey game before. Considering getting some tix 4 Sunday. Should I go? Whats the puck made of?

To which the LAKings replied:

RT @lakings: @rainnwilson We can give you tickets - if you let us deliver them to you in a bowl of jello.

Which they clearly did! And if you've watched The Office you'd know what that means. And if you don't, here's the clip from the pilot that explains it:

2-0 Coyotes, late-ish in the 2nd. Fans are putting their brooms away.

I honestly don't think it is true. The Kings still practice, have lots of time to rest up, and prepare mentally and study.

The difference most people are ignoring is that the level of 'rest' between the conference finals and stanley cup finals is much longer than between the other rounds. Right now the kings have been sweeping, and waiting till eastern conference series end after going 7. At least they start the very next series the day after game 7.....they won't be doing that come stanley cup finals because they want to build up the hype.

Teams have complained about this before too. This takes away the advantage the team that ends its series early would have on a tired group. But the tired group gets a good 4-5 days to recover, and the off-days for a team that swept its way to the finals goes well beyond a week.

The 2007 Ottawa Senators say hello.

Pretty solid game by the Yotes. The Kings took a ton of perimeter shots.
