Pretty solid game by the Yotes. The Kings took a ton of perimeter shots.

I honestly don't think it is true. The Kings still practice, have lots of time to rest up, and prepare mentally and study.

The difference most people are ignoring is that the level of 'rest' between the conference finals and stanley cup finals is much longer than between the other rounds. Right now the kings have been sweeping, and waiting till eastern conference series end after going 7. At least they start the very next series the day after game 7.....they won't be doing that come stanley cup finals because they want to build up the hype.

Teams have complained about this before too. This takes away the advantage the team that ends its series early would have on a tired group. But the tired group gets a good 4-5 days to recover, and the off-days for a team that swept its way to the finals goes well beyond a week.

The 2007 Ottawa Senators say hello.

Exactly.

It'll go back and forth. 7 games like I picked in the brackets pool.

So... that was quite the melee between Rupp and Brodeur/Harrold/Carter

The Devils really took it to the Rags...for the first time, the Rags looked tired. Hopefully this is a trend that continues. As weird as it is to say, the Devils are the more exciting team to watch.

Shabbs post is funny if you read in the "movie announcer" voice.

If Phoenix loses, Bettman should come out and hand out Nordiques jerseys to all the players.

Are we just fooling ourselves to think that the Coyotes will ever play anywhere other than in Arizona? After all these years and no owner for the past few years, if there was a chance they were moving north of the border, it'd be done by now.

Atlanta never had a chance - but Phoenix has had all the chances in the world.

EDIT: I just looked up the numbers and Atlanta did have ~$3M less revenue than Phoenix. Bot sure how long that went on for.
