Sens practicing their power play this morning, we need to cash in on our chances.

If they lose tonight, I'm inclined to believe the series is probably over....even if they can manage to win game 5, game 6 is back on home ice. That's the main reason they lost against the pens in 2010 (can't shake those game 6 memories)

We will definitely lose the series if we lose tonight. There will be no winning 3 games in a row against this stingy team, it's just not gonna happen. Period. + I don't think Andy can string together 3 straight perfect performances for us to take it. He's good, but he's not that good. He's certainly not better than Lundqvist.

It's not the end of the world if we lose tonight, but why are we talking about that scenario? There is every reason to believe we can win tonight - we've been the better team for the majority of this series. Matrix was great last game, and the Rags only goal was a lucky bounce and some bad coverage. We had a few great chances on Lundqvist last game, and a variety of ridiculous shot blocks and saves kept the puck out of their net. The reason we play a 7 game series is to allow the BETTER team every opportunity to come out on top.

Go Sens Go!

BooBoo: The belief is Hoffman was at skate to make sure Butler doesn't comfortable. Butler didn't play 1 regular season game like he did Monday.

Sounds like Hoffman was being used to put pressure on Butler to step it up.

Sens can beat the Rangers. Literally this series (aside from game 1) has come down to bounces. If Ottawa gets a bounce to go their way early, hell, if they get the bounce first they will win this game.

Spezza and Michalek need to be better though, that's for sure. IMO, Ottawa is the better team and I actually mean that. NYR just has the best goaltender on the planet and that could be the difference, it wouldn't be the first time a world class goalie wins a series. Either way, the future is bright for Ottawa and this playoff series is just adding to what will be a dominate team in the years to come.

I'm not trying to be a killjoy at all, I was just responding to the post of "if we lose tonight". But, you're right, there is no reason to talk like that right now. Just go out there and play like we've been playing and hope to get the bounce our way this time. We have outplayed them every game. We lost the first one because of a 15-20 minute brain fart. We lost the 2nd one because of an unlucky bounce. But we've definitely been giving them a run for their money and we are not going down without a fight. We've shown that in every game. I'm looking forward to seeing the boys battle tonight and am very hopeful for an even-up game. I still think this game will go 7 games, we just need to battle like we have been and have a little puck luck. Our big boys need to be our big boys tonight and Andy needs to play like he did last game. Lundqvist has to let something in at some point, he can't shut us out again. Shutout Lundqvist, shutout for Lundqvist, shutout shutout shutout!! Ahhhhh! Must jinx him.

Absolutely. Counting on them tonight to have a ridiculous game.

Bodes real well for the very close future. Having Silfverberg and Zibanejad - and hopefully one or two of Stone, Noesen, Puempel, Prince, Hoffman - will make the Sens a feared team soon enough.

We need to look closely at the D though - perhaps as early as this summer. Not a big fan of how much bumble f-ing there is in our zone.

ScoreOttawa sums it up: No update on Daniel Alfredsson. MacLean would not say whether Hoffman or Carkner were in the lineup tonight, all options open.

PMac is playing his cards tight.

If sens lose tonight, it'll be a new record I think for most consecutive home playoff losses.

I agree with this. They were so close last game a number of times. They outchanced, outplayed, and outshot the Rangers. They can win this, they just need Lundqvist to stop being such a jerk.
