Wow, this is hilarious.

I love when Rooney keeps using a goalie playing any other position than goal as an example when it is a horrible example.

The equivalent to a defenceman who normally plays left switching to right is a right winger playing left. Is there going to be adjustment? Yes. Obviously your natural instinct of playing a certain side will conflict with you trying to force yourself to play another side, but it's not impossible.

Rooney's straw-man approach is getting tiresome, glad someone else is picking up on it.

Taking it a ridiculous step further, how on earth can *anyone* in this league play center? Think about it. THINK!!!! Ahhhhh!

No wonder the best players are centers because you have to be elite just to be able to keep a stick *AHEAD* of you instead of cradling it in the curve of your stick blade on the right or left side. The HORROR!

I guess my sense of humour is too subtle. It was more to do with:

If Eklund says its E5, then it probably won't happen

ie. Thomas going to the Whitehouse didn't happen.....

No. 5 years after this at 4.6 million and he's sputtering right now = not a good sign - and I can buy into the "crap" team excuse only so much. Then you have to think that the Sens want to make their own decisions on who gets long term contracts and who doesn't + we have literally 8 guys coming who will be vying for a spot...if we get someone on a long contract, I think it should be someone like Ryan, not RJ.
