Good for propping it up to watch videos etc...

Also, a screen protector is highly recommended.

The HDMI cable is also good for hooking it up to your TV to play videos while on the go (ie: traveling with kids).

Yeah, I better get these things. I've already dirtied the screen with smudges - which I'm sure everyone does. It's damn great, my first little gadget like this and I love it. I downloaded about 50 apps last night, which was very exciting.

Do you have a BlackBerry? The Bridge app is pretty cool, lets you access your BB info on your PB. You can also use it to tether to your BB for surfing on your PB while on the go with no wireless connection.

I just bought the last BB Torch at Wind Mobile for 99$ with 40$/month unlimited everything plan (call canada/us, data, text around the world voice mail etc), and for 99 more I got the BB playbook.
Probably the best deal I've ever seen this holiday season.

Apparently $5 off a $55 dual-shock controller is considered a deal, too. Some companies are extremely tight with their prices. Nintendo is the same way -- you won't get more than a $5 off a new game, or maybe $10 off the DS.

Looks interesting. How good is their network? Also, I didn't see the offer for the bb tablet on their website.

Be forewarned, that Wind's customer service is reportedly terrible. I looked them up and found plenty of people willing to discuss their bad experiences. A colleague of mine had a customer service issue with the phone he paid full pop for. When he threatened to quit and go with someone else the response was something to the effect of: Oh well.

I don't know about their service and how reliable it is, but everything I've heard/read leads me to believe that their customer service is terrible.

The offer on the playbook was Boxing day only unfortunately...

And their network is good but you have to be in the Coverage zone, or else you go into "Roaming".
But since I usually always stay in the area I'm okay.
You can check the coverage zone in the website.

No clue since I've never needed to deal with it. Just pay my bill every month.

Let's be honest though, Customer service rarely is a generality. You'll have some bunghole everywhere. I've heard praise and bad experiences from a lot of different people for each of the big companies.

Best Buy here has the Playbook for $199 16GB, $249 for 32GB and 399 for 64GB.

They're sold out almost everywhere already. I already have a 64GB IPAD 1 3G otherwise I'd jump on one..... I might still though - I'm impulsive like that.....

I was out yesterday and saw the 16GB at The Source for $199 as well ($300 off). I wonder if they'll ship to the US:
