Raise your hand if you are surprised.

When the heck did that happen? In practice?

Facing Florida is no longer the romp in the park it once was.

They played OT in 4 of their last six and twice went to SO. They are traveling. They will be a bit tired. They've lost 4 of those 6 games, and neither win was in regulation. Those wins came against Calgary and Carolina -- not exactly powerhouses.

Sure. They are also 1st in the SolutLeast and are really good this year.

Also, their last game was at home (same time zone) on Tuesday. So if you're going to pull the "they're tired" card, I guess that applied to 50% of the teams on any given night.

Also, I would argue that 5 extra minutes of OT isn't that much of a drain, considering that amounts to maybe an extra two minutes of ice time for the better players.

Anyway, GO SENS GO!!!!!!!!!! TURRIS FOR THE HART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYP (the bolded part)

Two wins in their last 6 against Carolina and Calgary, giving away loser points in each case. The Sens played at home Tuesday and remained in the city. The Panthers had to hop on a bus or plane and travel. Traveling *does* affect you even if you don't cross timezones.

Chances are if you are leading 4-1 in the third your bottom six play a lot more than they would if you are tied or one back. So it can very well mean more than a couple of shifts difference. Also, when the game is a half hour longer (OT plus SO) that's a half hour less of rest time. It adds up. I know, I've been getting up between 5:30 and 6 for a while now, and going to bed later by 30-40 minutes several days in a row makes a big difference.

He is in Ottawa. He will be let go or traded at some point.

That said, I hope they give Petersson a look on the wing. Could be a really good winger for a guy like Turris on the 2nd line.

He's hurt too, as per usual.

I know the Condra-Turris-Foligno line played really well on Tuesday night v Buffalo, but I feel like Bobby Butler should be given a fair shake playing with some legitimate linemates. I can't see him doing too much on a line with Konopka and Winchester.

IMO- they should put him on one of the top two lines for a 3/4 game stint, and if he doesn't produce anything, or show any sign of promise, it's up to the press box you go, for the more permanent nature.

Screens will be there, just not the 360 LED rings on top and bottom

Butler hasn't done much on any line he has played so far, ironically he scored his 2 goals from the 4th line.

Sucks about Regin, but he's turned into a band-aid, big time. Kinda like Crosby, Regin's proving he just can't take a hit without getting injured.

It's a big shame, because he has looked like a very complete player at times.
