Nah, I don't think so- I think this is going to be a fast paced, high energy game from two teams who are known for heart as opposed to talent. We could very easily be seeing the two top teams in the Eastern conference several years down the road- both have ELITE prospect pools waiting in the wings. I think this will be probably the most exciting Ottawa/Florida game we've ever seen.

Also- hey guys! Been a long time. :KKK:

Hey Jordo! I've noticed you at HB posting lately. Nice to see you back.

I agree with your take on this.

Christmas time in the office = killing time on the internet! :KKK:

Yost is a great blogger at HB, and there's a lot less Dung there now, but I'll stick to my roots! Glad to see this site is still going strong.

Who thought the rebuild would be this quick huh? So great to see the sens playing this well and with this much heart. It's great to be able to watch every game, and know that we'll be in it, as opposed to just expecting to get pounded. Excited to see how Turris pans out- but it sucks losing Rundblad. I had actually bought a heritage Rundblad jersey, but luckily it was pro-stitched so it can be switched to Turris!

What up dude?

I agree, these are two future powers in the East. Possibly the number one and number two prospect pools as well. Huberdeau, Bjugstad, Howden, Gudbranson and Markstrom are a nice young nucleus for sure.

Yeah, the rebuild is going well. I'll admit that I was full on board with Tank Nation at the beginning of the season, but I was won over quickly. I just can't root against these guys. The 'stache has them playing well and there's a nice collection of players who play their roles to a "T". They've definitely bought in to the system for sure. It would suck to finish just outside of the playoffs, but I'd be happy with even that since the team would have exceeded most people's expectations.

I have to agree about HB. It's definitely different than it was. Less trolls (I stick to reading mostly Sens related stuff), and better contributors. Yost is solid in my opinion, although I'd say the jury is still out as to whether he's a legit rumour guy.

The biggest positive in the rebuild is the culture change in the room. These guys play hard for 60 and don't quit.

We're up there with teams that spend up to the cap and we're near the floor.

Meh, I don't go there for the rumours anyway, mostly just for the hockey chatter.

I'm with you though- regardless of where we end up after 82 games, I'll be a happy guy. I think the Rundblad move showed that Murray was looking further down the road at where we'll end up in the draft order, and seeing that we'd likely be nabbing a defenseman in the first round- making Rundblad somewhat expendable if it meant upgrading our top six talent. I'd love to pickup either Ceci or Reinhart.

Absolutely - and that continues to put tremendous importance on drafting properly. Continuing to stock the prospect cupboards with not only high end forward talent, but also with the Z.Smith, Daugavins, Condra's of the NHL world to ensure players never, ever feel too comfortable and continue to play their roles to a T.

I'd say more talent in the top-6(Turris may be what we need too early to tell) as well as better defence. Kuba has been good but it'd be nice to have more physical presence back there (good to have Carkner back surprisingly).

Can't wait til Borowiecki and/or Gryba are ready. Hope it doesn't hurt our puck movement too much.

I personally only like him because he's local.

That really sucks. Hell of a player but it looks like he may be done for good.

The trade for Turris looks even better now.

Turns out to insurance, so to speak. Can't say I'm happy about Regin though.
