Ans it's really not all that bad in Russia. If you get paid millions and get to live in Moscow. It's not like it's press it or it's the Gulag. It's more like press it or you have a choice between Bingo and Moscow.

I really don't think he has any reason to leave. He's being given a spot on the top line and he is playing well - so he hasn't gotten a point tonight, or a goal this season.

Sure he can be frustrated about not scoring, but tonight he is doing everything right, and I 't think the coaches are noticing. It will come if he keeps it up.

That hurt...the only pluses are that the Sens should have come away with at least a point and Cowen is awesome.

I hate to do this, because I really don't think it was their fault, but Filatov just standing around, not a Star in sight, as the winning goal is scored. Should he not have been covering someone? Spezza comes swooping in to the front of the net but the goal was scored from the area where he swooped in *from*? The D were tired and Phillips had good chances to clear it, but managed not to, but was it really the D's fault?

Damn, that was frustrating.

Spezza did a lot of nothing on that last goal and Karlsson was as soft as butter. Phillips was dead tired.

Anyways, w/e, the road trip has been more than successful thus far and even though last night hurt it still has to be taken with a grain of salt. If they can come away with a point or two in Washington on Saturday, then again, it's just a big bonus.

As the resident Phillips hater, I have to say he did have a really good game last night....

Last time Washington was in a slump (just before the Winter Classic), it took a win against the Sens to get them back on track Facepalm
