I have... South and East Africa. South Africa was... well, pretty crazy.

By the same token I shouldn't be complaining about what's on TV because I'm lucky to live somewhere that I can have a TV.

But my comments are based on my admittedly elitist north american standards, and I stand by them. Though I would endorse sending the drivers who annoy me to Africa so they can experience what it's like to be constantly pissed off by other drivers first hand.

My latest pet peeve is people who take half an hour at the self serve checkout at Loblaws to purchase 5 items. Just go to the express line if you're too stupid to figure out how a self serve checkout works !!! ARGH !!!

People who think they can touch your little baby with their filthy hands just because it's oh so cute. Had this old lady at the grocery store (who looked like she was straight from the trailer park) try it. I had to quickly step in between her and my cart, answer her questions (it's a boy and he's 3 weeks old) and quickly get out of there like it's a matter of life and death before I got tempted to smack her on the head with a family size pack of Eggo waffles.

Conversely, people who get upset when you don't want to touch their filthy baby while you're wearing a clean suit.

"are you sure you don't want to hold him?"

Yes. Because when I see something that lacks control of its bowels and bladder and oozes snot out of every orifice, my first thought is that I'd like to hold it.

You know what really grinds my gears? Facebook and social networking where you advertise yourself and your experiences all day long. 'just had a great cup of coffee and a morning jog! ready for the day now!' well whoop-ti-Cussing-doo!

Agreed. I only like twitter for news.

Yep. The worst are guys like Bob McKenzie, who provide good, timely, legit hockey news most of the time, but then through the summer, you get thinks like "Beautiful sunset over the lake." "Just saw Keith Urban."

If you're going to use your Twitter account as an extension of your professional reporting, then do so. If you're going to post about how you are seeing a pretty sunset, create a separate, personal account.

Personally I hate Facebook/My Space.

If I wanted you to know what I was up to, what my kids look like, seen pictures in any way related to me I'd be showing you in person or sending you an e-mail.

Otherwise piss off.

My wife has an account I post on extreemly infrequently (if you can believe it to family members who I can't reach by phone), and I'm astounded at the number of people who hound her with "friend requests". Take a bloody hint. If she hasn't accepted the request by now, she isn't interested.

Someone mentioned hating Rude people, but there is a place. After 20 minutes of not being able to get a guy off of my property, I finally stopped with the nicey nicey and told him to leave before I called the police and slammed my door.

While I agree constantly rude people are an issue, but sometimes it's the only way to get the message through some times.

I'm often reminded that I'm rude to my family and instantly nice to strangers. It's a huge failing of mine, where I take for granted my wife, kids, and relatives, yet treat strangers or people I barely know with great respect.

SHAME ON ME!!!!!!!!!!

That's a good point 22-4-ever. Solicitors and telemarketers are the absolute worst folks who can't take a hint. And then they keep trying their luck. Don't take my kindness as a weakness
