He's literally 10 times the playmaker + he scores the same amount of goals.

Disappointment? Go and see what Sharks' fans have to say about Heatley!

Uh...we'll see about that shall we? I'd rather pay him 4.2 and have him come close to 20 goals than pay 7.5 for Dynamic Dany Heatley and his bionic knee, lung and eye (not to mention his attitude which can suck my Donkey).
EDIT: Let's put it this way, I'll take my chances of Glass Michalek a thousand times before I take my chances on a used up goal-scorer making 7.5 million.

Ok? I'd kill to have Spezza and heatley back together again. Don't care if he isn't a complete player or not, he had a down year but so did Joe.
Spezza-Heatley >>>>>>>>>> Spezza-Butler
This is all hyopthetical of course, LMAO.

I would not touch him with a 10-foot pool. I want players with character on the Sens -- he has none.
I like Michalek. I don't see him as slow. It took him over 6 mos to recover from last off-season's knee surgery.. but towards the end of the year he was skating very well. He is good on the PK -- why else would the Sens be about 96% on the PK since early Feb.. when the penalty killers were Michalek & Spezza -- and rookies. That's an incredible stat actually... but I'm sure Anderson contributed a lot to that as well.

That's the trick, right there. The problem with Heatley is that he so self-involved. If he isn't the center of attention, he wants to leave. I'm thinking of his end-of-season comments in his last year as a Sen when he basically said that the team may have had a bad year, but that he was happy about his own performance (and, you got the impression, that's what matters).
He'll never be a team-first player. For that reason alone, I'd pass.

I still don't that's the reason he wanted out of Ottawa haha.

I haven't heard a convincing conspiracy theory yet, though I've heard 3 or 4 separate ones, including variations of 2 in particular.

The sex ones are idiotic, I don't believe those.
