That was NOT the hit. It was by the boards... it was a lot worse than that.
But he came back after some time in the 'quiet room'.
Maybe it knocked some character into him, but I doubt it.
Oh, okay, I thought that was the hit too. I was...perplexed.
Here is THE HIT... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrLhkntCs9c
Oh wow, that was a big one. Did it know the douche out of him I wonder?

I'll go with the exact opposite of whatever Big Ev says.

Yep, my pool is Cussed. I have no Sharks in my pool, but 3 Caps, 3 Ducks, 1 Wings, 3 Flyers. I have 5 of my original 15 players left.
who ever thinks they should trade him??? who the hell would say that? i'd be surprised if the caps fans were as reactive as that. like stated he's 23 years old! Spezza has just recently looked like he's turned the corner. i'm sure backstrom will too. Hey i'll do a one for one if they want.Everybody is going to talk about blowing things up and having a lot of bodies flying out the door but in a salary cap world, there are only so many things you can do. Nicklas Backstrom is a 23-year-old kid who's in the first year of a 10-year, $67 million contract. People are going to say they should trade him but that's not likely to happen. The Capitals need to weather the storm with some of these players they've invested in.
