Sign Anderson to a 3 year deal as he probably won't sign for less and have a number 1 goalie going into next year OR... is there actually another option?

Second option is bend over and ... say hello to another lottery pick.

Wow. Apt analogy.

Thanks but I should also mention I don't even have a bike right now.

Seriously, if The Sens let Anderson walk they will have 1 goaltender under contract for next year, that's it. Lehner will be the only player under contract and he isn't even an adult yet. The Sens need Anderson way more than he needs them despite any fall backs that may occure.

Also, that goalie guide idiot suggested that Emery get the start next game because Ellis didn't have his best showing and thus doesn't deserve to start the next one.

So let me get this straight, he thinks it's a good idea to start a guy who hasn't played a game in over a year, coming off life altering surgery, while fighting tooth and nail for the final playoff spot over someone who has been playing all year and playing very well the last month. The guy is a loud mouth idiot with more of an opinion than anything that could be considered decent or informative analysis. He's a joke.

Facepalm This guy is far from a loudmouth idiot.

PS How would you know this about him wanting Emery to start if you don't even know who he is, or what his site is called not Goalie "Guide"

Sounds like it to me based on what I read last night. The Emery suggestion was about the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time.

When you said you would ask the question on twitter I took a look this morning, that's how I know. Don't think I'll be going back there.

Damn, it would be so awful not to get another Top pick.

Because losing consistantly is a proven way to build a contender like NYI, Florida, Atlanta, and Columbus. Hoping for a team to tank is stupid.

Oh, ok.

Well in all fairness, Ellis looked pretty bad yesterday. Doesn't matter either way for me, as I don't like either goalie.

I can't stand Ellis either but it's still a downright stupid suggestion.

Not hoping for it, jsut saying IF it happens it wouldn't be too bad. Finishing last two years in a row like Edmonton is just silly though.

I think we will get a pick in the area where we got Cowen the other year.

PS The Goalie Guild did reply to me and said he is sure the Sens will give more more than a 1 year contract but he is curious what amount of $ they offer him, as he believes $3.5 is too much. Granted, he probably doesn't keep track of teams' cap space around the league as he just focuses on goalies, so he prob isn't thinking that we have a lot of space coming up.

If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

Why caution 'don't sign him to a 1-year deal' and then turn around and acknowledge that the Sens would never be able to do so? Sounds like ripping a team for not being able to have its cake and eat it too.

Honestly, now knowing he is an Avs fan he just sounds like a bitter homer, like it was mentioned above. Not impressed with any of his takes from Anderson to Emery. Sounds pretty ignorant to me.

I don't understand this expression. Please explain.

Proverb

1. (colloquial, vulgar, humorous) It is fruitless to speculate about counterfactual situations.

Yeah a bit, but trust me, this guy is usually spot on. He may be caught up in emotions on this one, but I think Rooney can attest to his great knowledge of goalies and goaltending in general.

He's no CockRoche lol
