You think that's bad. How about the intersections ,yes with an S, of Orleans Blvd and Jeanne D'arc. Best part is there's a Roger's Video at both.

I'll have to try, my wife can take one look at the menu and tell me if it's worth it and authentic Laugh1

My wife can do the same thing at the Rub N Tug.

All I know is I love the food there. I had Unagi there a couple weeks ago and it was the best I had ever eaten EVER.

Since we're in the right geographical space, I'll also point out that they have great Korean food at Dolsot Cafe. It's on Bank at Catherine, right beside the gas station. They don't do much bbq, but the dishes themselves are great. I highly recommend the dolsot bibimbap.

Which one is Unagi again? Shoulder-length brown hair?

Yeah Unagi has this great BBQ sauce on them, it's great.

I usually go to 168 Japan Buffet on Merivale, opened in December last year and unlike most places I've been to they're pretty generous with the amount of fish they put on their rolls. Places like Sushi Kan or 1000 Islands give you this paper thin slice of fish you can almost read a newspaper through.

They even have Hamachi (yellowtail). Haven't seen that anywhere else in Ottawa.

It's an all you can eat place I presume? Sounds like I need to check this place out.

I wouldn't mind trying Salt Water eel some day but I've never seen it in Ottawa at any Sushi place including the expensive a la carte places.

My favourites to have when at an a la carte place include Toro, Hirami and Suzuki. I forget the english names other than Toro is Tuna Belly. hahaha

Edit: Almost forgot about Botan Ebi (probably mis spelled it). I believe it's a large shrimp. They make a roll out of it usually then deep fry the head to eat. yummy! :D

FIAL - Mackerel is not raw according to this menu. Wife would be very unhappy.

It's pickled mackerel (shimesaba).

Oh man I love Toro. Good luck getting that here, although I got a small piece at the Sushi place in Kanata Centrum, not sure if its still there. We were stunned they gave us some. Normal tuna is maguro I believe.

I get Toro from time to time if I'm at Taste of Japan or Festival Japan or that place in the Market. I would never expect to see it at an all you can eat place. Even still it's rare for it to be in so I jump at the chance.

I'll have to try those, usually we go to all you can eat places or just grab a tray or two at T&T.

It's pretty pricey here and it's still a bit hard to eat here after eating sushi in Japan.

I'm not big on nori so I don't like some of the sushi out there (like the hand rolls). I prefer sashimi and nigiri sushi.

Road trip!

You also need to take a road trip to get discounted premium subs at Subway. What a clip job.
