Facepalm

I'm pretty sure that's a typo -- should have been "busy". Is that better than my "Bongo" post?

No. Busty would have been better though.

Are you sure they meant "bust"? I don't want to go there to find out. I'm just looking at the live bookmarks.
I believe he meant "NO" to your "Better than my Bongo post" comment. But I'm sure you knew that. Wink

I'll save you the clicks...

As per Mike Brophy: "Told Crosby tried light workout and immediately saw black dots and stars. Not even close to starting light workouts again."

Enough is enough, he shouldn't be in this league anymore.

What has he done today? Or is this about the knee-on-knee to AO?

7-4. What's up with Rolie, anyway? They should only play him against the Caps.

Boarding Tyutin - who put himself in a dumb spot, I'll admit - but still, he drills him for no real reason.

Yeah, I think that makes sense... insurance would cover it, cap would come off the books as it's not a 35+ contract.
I can't see how the 35 year rule would come into play if the guy lost an eye. There's got to be some medical exemptions.
Yeah, not sure of the details around a career-ending injury... care to wade through the CBA? I'm sure Roche can provide some insight.

If I am following the conversation correctly, we have switched from talking about Savard to a player with an 35+ contract that suffers a career ending injury?

Any player who signs a contract when they are 35 or over will always be on the Clubs cap whether he is healthy, injured or retired; there is no way around it. But if the player doesn't file his papers and retire, as long as he continues to rehab and work toward a return, LTIR can provide relief.

A perfect current example is Ian Laperriere and the Flyers.

Shabbs, let me know if that is the question you wanted my opinion on.

They mis-spelled Burke's name here, then someone photoshopped it here:

Roche, sorry, but that Bryan Bork Bork Bork was just too funny.

Thanks for clearing things up. So a player with a career ending injury who signed his contract at 35+ better not retire, if he wants what's good for the team. What a weird little work they built for themselves.
