Good question. I assume he's going out to acquire one if he's GM, or move Regin up there, or Winchester (he's playing like it), or Foligno, or we check out O'Brien, Greening (he plays C I believe), or even Kelly.

SJ probably needs a little more than Ben Eager can offer. Still, not a bad move for the Sharks. Eager's cheap enough (cap hit of $965k).

Nice pickup. Won't really solve their issues, but it's a character player coming in for almost no charge.

Seems like a bargain for a guy who's got some toughness and an decent set of hands.

I wonder if this is the Sharks big move, cause they've got to be right up against the cap now I think.

According to cap geek, the max cap hit salary they could take on was $1,764,146. Eager's cap hit is $965K so he fits, and they'll be very close to the cap now.

SJ had $750k-ish of space. Eager’s pro-rated salary for the remainder of the year would only be around $450k-ish.

I thought they only had 777k in space. I suppose Eager's salary is only about half of the 965K though.
