Yes he could. I don't need "steffeg" to confirm that. He's better than any d-man except Larsson arguably.

Cizikas is getting signed, Eakin was signed a while ago.

Except SteffeG watches all of the Swedish games, lives in Sweden and is one of the best sources of information on Swedish prospects.

In your opinion he is...I put him on par with Hamilton which puts him in the top 10 at best.

He's more developed than Hamilton and he was arguably better all-around than Rundblad. He was great at the WJ and WHC. He'd go Top 10 for sure, I don't see anybody picking a guy like Hamitlon over Erixon especially considering he can play RIGHT AWAY for your team.

I think he'll get signed though, Calgary can't lose a prospect for nothing.

^ Don't think it would be for nothing, I think they'd get a compensatory pick out of it.

I've watched him too, I don't need some Swede telling me about him Smile It's like asking what you think about Dustin Boyd because you live in Canada.

A compensatory pick would be nothing if you lose a guy like that though.

Feaster's too busy eating out with Boudreau and Hitchcock at Bennigans.

It's nothing like that. He's watched him ALL year, I doubt you have.

Obviously not, but I'm annoyed at the notion that if a guy is from sweden he most know everything about Swedish player X.

No, I've known him for a year and a half now, he lives and breathes Swedish hockey - and as a bonus is a fan of the Sens.

I don't think SD believes that everyone in Sweden knows everyone in Sweden, but that someone involved in that hockey system will have the best grasp on the players in that system.

Fair enough.

Big Ev wrote:I wouldn't call Hamilton a true hard-hitter. He has been criticized for being soft and easy to play against, and he isn't big for his frame (less than 200 pounds for a 6'4 or 6'5 foot player). He may be tall but he certainly isn't a "tower". He can hit and he can move the puck, but he's a tweener.

So he's 17 or 18... do ya think he could possibly add more muscle & weight before he makes it to the NHL?

If he goes back into the draft and he falls to 6 -- is there a chance to Ottawa forgets about that forward prospect and picks him up?

They could always trade a defensive prospect in Weircoch, Lee or even Gryba for a prospect forward.

I'm sure they would have no trouble signing him.. considering he would probably know most of the Swedes in Ottawa & Bingo.

We need an elite forward prospect. They're very difficult to trade for. Lee + Gryba + Weircioch doesn't get us close, IMO.
