Isn't it an import draft though?

It shouldn't scare an NHL team off, but I'm positive it will come up in the interview process now that a Russian team has basically made him their #1 priority.

1. Nugent-Hopkins
2. Larsson
3. Huberdeau
4. Hamilton
5. Couturier
6. Landeskog
Makes sense as NYI, NJD, Edm, and Colorado all need defencemen. Could even see Ryan Murphy squeeze into the mix.

The more I read, the more this sounds correct to me - with the possible exception of Murphy over Hamilton. Huberdeau is likely the better prospect than Lando, ditto Couturier, but we Sens fans have fallen in love with Lando.

Actually from what i've read in a few places I think NJ will not pick a D-man. the team is lacking some quality D-men at the moment but I've read they have more good D prospects then forwards prospects. I think Lando can go anywhere between 2nd and 5th. probably not lower. I could see Larsson being the only D-man being picked in the top 5.
If BM can't trade up would he then trade down? would he take Strome with the 6th pick? would he make a blockbuster trade with our pick? Or take a D-man....
We really like Pageau. It’s a shame he is slighly undersized. Give him two inches and 20 pounds and he is a top 10 talent. We still think he could possibly end up being a draft day steal for some NHL team this June.

Yeah, IMO 99% of Sens fans fell head over heels for Lando and his perfect replacement for Alfie characteristics.
Strome would be a nice choice for the Sens. Legitimate 30 goal potential, his playmaking needs a little polishing, but he's got potential to hit 70 points in the NHL IMO. I've tried to research what ID's fans say, scouts, reliable people on the net because I think he'll be the guy when we're ready to pick - although, I could easily see one of the Isles or the Devils taking Murphy or Hamilton - or even Columbus moving up to take Murphy. We'll see I guess...

I could swear that i read the exact same thing somewhere elsesandysensfan wrote:Not too long ago... most Sens fans wanted Landeskog drafted by the Sens.
Big body and a leader.
But just because his team did not advance in the playoffs... he's now not worth it?
I don't think he is any less a player than he was.
Huberdeau is a great prospect on a stacked team. He has skill there is no doubt.. but unless Ottawa can trade up to 2nd to grab him... he won't be an Ottawa Senator.
Question is, does Ottawa stay at 6th and draft who falls to that spot AND concentrate on trying to move up with the 21st pick as high as they can?

I can't believe that a KHL team wasted the 6th overall pick on someone who would clearly never go there!
