Man that Breaking bad episode was so good. This is probably the only show I know where the first 2 seasons are pretty meh and the next 3 are crazy good.

I'll say Sons of Anarchy. The first 3 seasons are meh relative to seasons 4 and 5. Still, I like Breaking Bad better.LeKing wrote:Man that Breaking bad episode was so good. This is probably the only show I know where the first 2 seasons are pretty meh and the next 3 are crazy good.
Was that episode crazy good though? I thought it was kind of average, based on Breaking Bad's high standards, but maybe it was just that I was really tired when I watched it. The confrontation between Hank and Walter was awesome, though. Should be a wild ride to the finish.LeKing wrote:Man that Breaking bad episode was so good. Without those first 2 seasons the next 3 are worse than meh. That's the whole point of the show.LeKing wrote:Man that Breaking bad episode was so good. This is probably the only show I know where the first 2 seasons are pretty meh and the next 3 are crazy good.
Hey settle down, I still haven't finished Season 4.NEELY wrote:I honestly have no idea where everything is going other than an epic battle between Walter and someone... just no clue.
Get on that because the last 1/2 of season 5 is all anyone is talking about now.Ev wrote:Hey settle down, I still haven't finished Season 4.NEELY wrote:I honestly have no idea where everything is going other than an epic battle between Walter and someone... just no clue.
I loved the episode where
- Spoiler:
Walter can't pay for his cancer because he's on a budget - Melnyk's budget to be exact

Somehow I really like TWD. And it's more than gory, it's pretty violent. Maybe because the violence is comic book style and not "realistic"? Maybe because the setting (zombie apocalypse) is remote enough to not make it feel real. For some reason I was never into shows like The Sopranos, Dexter, Breaking Bad -- organized crime and and a hero who is a serial killer, not really my cup of tea.tim1_2 wrote:I'm currently watching Six Feet Under...it doesn't have much in the way of violence, and it's pretty good. Of course, it is from the early 2000s.
But yeah, all the best shows of late, like you mention, have tons of violence. It just helps make great drama.
